A/N: It'll be at least 4-5 days until I can get the next chapter up. Be patient with me, life is getting busy <3

After the two weird actually let him go, he had passed by the unconscious body of his captor. He didn't ask what would happen to the man. Truth be told, he really couldn't have cared less.
But he thought about those two men a lot more than he would have liked to admit.
It had been nearly an entire year since he saw the two of them. And that gang hadn't tried to kidnap him again. As far as he knew, they weren't even looking into him. Seungmin had layers upon layers of protection surrounding his data, now. He'd spent the last year learning how to cover himself, cover his tracks. His school refused to let him graduate early, even with accelerated courses and proper credits, because his mother wouldn't sign the damn paper.
So he did what any completely sane person would do, and dropped out. He didn't end up needing to run away from his mother- she ran off with the man of the month and didn't come back for him. That would have frustrated most people- made them sad, made them feel lonely- not him. It made his life easier when he tried to get emancipated. There was no one fighting for custody of him at seventeen, so it worked out in his favor.
Once he had all the paperwork settled, it wasn't hard to find a job. He'd spent nearly four years at this point just learning cybersecurity through online courses and gaining certifications anywhere that would let him. It was easy to leave that job, secure a place on his own, take care of his food, and live a decently acceptable lifestyle when he figured out that he was quite a bit better with computers than suspected.
He was better at troubleshooting and fixing computer issues, better at building PCs for custom requests, and better at hacking into illegal overseas accounts holding millions in untouched, untaxable funds. And what were they going to do- it wasn't like anyone could find him, turn him in. At least he didn't think so.

"Ooh. We rarely ever get anyone pretty and young in here." A voice said from his left.
Seungmin rarely ever got meeting requests- it was hard to track him down, and he liked it that way. He made it that way. But he accepted this one. A friend of a friend of a friend's cousin or something like that. And honestly? It sounded interesting enough to get him excited. Someone was offering to pay him to hack into a CEO's overseas account, drain the funds and give them to the requester- a disgruntled employee, his friend said.
So he walked into the club- sketchy, sure, but private nonetheless- and looked around. When the voice to his left spoke, he turned his head quickly and found a stunning man, probably about his age and definitely too young to be working in a place like this. Seungmin found his own eyebrow raising. Most people didn't start conversation with him. He didn't look the type to engage. He liked it that way. He made it that way.
Everything in his life was calculated. Purposeful.
But this guy and his blue hair and his pretty freckles and his bright eyes- he didn't care that Seungmin seemed unapproachable.
"Sorry. You're not my type." He said, trying to stave off the conversation as his eyes bounced around. He was told to meet the cousin in a room at the back of the club.
"Oh, you're not mine either, babe." The guy chuckled, adorable smile lines appearing by his eyes. "You're just pretty. And... probably not old enough to be here, yeah?"
Seungmin turned back to him, not letting his breath catch the way it threatened to. "You look about my age- are you sure you're one to talk?"
The boy just grinned. "Room 14 is at the very back. Take this walkway all the way down to the end, turn right, and you're there." He leaned over and whispered in Seungmin's ear.
