"hoon? you in there?" heeseung knocked on the wooden door. they had just gotten married and decided to unite their respective kingdoms. sunghoon was originally incredibly against the idea, as he felt like he'd lose his authority. in the end, he gave into heeseung's desires and agreed.

he heard some shuffling, and soon a "yeah, come in," from inside. heeseung sighed, he now felt guilty for pressuring him against his will. and the guilt would increase after seeing dark circles under his lover's eyes, sunghoon was a beauty freak, he'd never allow this catastrophe on his face.

the room felt cold and it made heeseung shiver. this was not normal. "look, hoon, you don't have to do this uniting thing if you don't want to."

ow, that stung heeseung like a needle. it was his dream to unite with someone he loved one day. but sunghoon's well being was leagues more important that that. it was his first priority.

"i'm fine with it...i just, don't want to lose trust from my people. i mean, we married in secrecy, no one lies about such a big thing! i'm still single according to wikipedia-"

"and you know our chances of divorce is- well, high right?" heeseung looked down and bit his lip at the mention of divorce. it was what shattered his childhood years ago. "people still had the right to object this, and there's homophobic people everywhere...are we gonna be okay?" sunghoon sat on the marble floor, the coldness increasing and his lips quivering. heeseung couldn't breathe, he needed sunghoon. he needed him more than he thought.

and soon enough, sunghoon was shushed by a warm embrace, and he leaned further into heeseung's chest. "people will still love you. you're their king, and i would be by your side no matter what."

sunghoon gave him a wide smile, and heeseung smothered him in kisses, climbing onto his lap, exchanging 'i love you's . they were now even more determined to achieve their dream.
