CHAPTER 05: Drive

It's been two weeks since Taehyun joined uni and so far, he was enjoying it. Him and Hyuka had lunch with the trio everyday and they were getting closer each day.

"you wanna buy something else ?"

"I'm hungry... let's just eat and go"

"alright"

Hyuka and Taehyun went to the mall for shopping. They sat in the food court and ordered their meals. They were done eating after sometime and were waiting for Taehyun's coffee. That's when they noticed Beomgyu.

"beomgyu hyung ??"

Hyuka exclaimed, catching his attention. Beomgyu smiled at them and walked over to their table. Both the boys noticed some new bruises on his face but didn't question him.

"what are you doing here ?"

"oh i just....had to buy something"

"oh i see..."

Hyuka kicked Taehyun, telling him to talk to Beomgyu. Taehyun glared at him and looked at Beomgyu nervously. Beomgyu flashed a smile at him and oh my god. How can Taehyun even say anything...

Hyuka's phone started ringing. Hyuka picked it up so fast as if he was waiting for someone to call him.

"oh yeonjun hyung ? you need me, I'll be right there"

"yaa i didn't say that-"

Hyuka stood up and smiled at both of them before rushing out or the food court. Taehyun wanted to kill Hyuka. He knew he did it on purpose. Both of them were left alone now.

"i thought those two were on a date....hehe"

Beomgyu said, scratching the back of his neck. Taehyun smiled awkwardly not knowing what to talk about. He just wanted to take his coffee and run away.

"got into a fight again ?"

Taehyun finally broke the silence by asking the question he's been wanting to ask from the moment he saw Beomgyu there.

"y-yeah..."

Beomgyu said, looking down. Taehyun knew something was off. He kept staring at Beomgyu who looked like he wanted to say more. The waiter came and served Taehyun's coffee.

"are you done ?"

"yeah"

"i assume Hyuka took your car so...i can drop you off if you're fine with it-"

"of course !! i mean...yeah..."

Beomgyu smiled and walked out with Taehyun after him. The car ride was silent. None of them knew what to talk about so they decided to have a peaceful drive until Beomgyu's expression became tense and he sighed.

"is your seatbelt tightened ?"

"yeah-"

Beomgyu pulled the gear and pushed the accelerator, speeding through the traffic. Taehyun was caught off guard. He was about to question him when he noticed a car following them in the rear view mirror.

He noticed Beomgyu taking a few right turns and the same car was still behind them. He didn't even know where Beomgyu was taking him cause the way to his home was left behind far ago.

He turned to Beomgyu and noticed the stressed and irritated look on his face. He decided not to question him. Beomgyu took a few more turns which were new to Taehyun and when the car wasn't in view anymore, he slowed down.

Without Taehyun even realising, the car was in front of his house. He didn't even know there was another way that could take him home.

Right when he was about to remove his seatbelt, he noticed the car that was following them, coming from the front. Taehyun's eyes widened and he was really scared now.

He turned to Beomgyu and was surprised to see that Beomgyu wasn't fazed by any of this. Beomgyu turned to look at him and he immediately looked away. He removed his seatbelt and opened the door to get off.

"Taehyun !"

"yeah ?"

"I'm...s-sorry...for the...harsh driving"

"it's alright hyung...i enjoyed it... thank you for dropping me"

Taehyun shut the door and waved at Beomgyu before walking inside his house. Beomgyu sighed and turned his car around.

Taehyun was even more invested now. He wanted to know who the people following them were and why were they following them. Were they the same people Beomgyu fought with ? But they won't take it this far.

One thing he knew was that they were definitely after Beomgyu and second thing was, this wasn't new to Beomgyu cause he knew them just by the car.

There was something Beomgyu was hiding and Taehyun needed to find that out. He didn't know what it was about Beomgyu that made him so interested and curious about him.
