Chapter 6: Woes of Work

(Tyler P.O.V)

When Wednesday and I got back to the school, first things first was to get me new clothes, "Uuh, you might not wanna turn this way" I said, "Don't worry Tyler, I've seen you unclothed before, it's unpleasant to behold, I loved it" she said making me blush, I knew she was teasing me, mainly because she always loved the weird things. She grabbed me a pair underwear, some of my ripped jeans, a flannel shirt, and my brown jacket. "Here, I'll leave you to your privacy" she said as she went to the bathroom. I got dressed and looked at myself, Thing signed to me, "I know I'm weirded out, nobody's ever given me this much thought, not even you-know-who" I said, Thing signed again, "I know she could be, but I transformed on my own terms, she helped me with this list" I said showing Thing the list, despite not having eyes, he seemed to be reading it thoroughly, "I'll be meeting with Marissa tonight, with Wednesday of course" I said. Thing signed again, he was clearly skeptical over something, "She's not the bad one, apparently her daughter is, her son is awesome, like the Joey to my Chandler" I said, he signed something again, "Okay, I'm definetely not Ross!" I half-yelled, I remembered how Thing was sensitive when I first met him. Wednesday came out of the bathroom all cleaned up and clearly ready for the meeting. 

She clearly didn't know what we were talking about, and she didn't want to know either. She sat down on the bed next to me, "Should we tell her about Blake?" I asked, Wednesday looked at me, "It's clear she has bad intentions, but if she's in the room, we should stay silent on the matter, only address the work we did to get your Hyde to unlock" she said, "Makes sense, it felt freeing when I did, running through the forest at high speeds, besides I could tell you were enjoying it" I said, Wednesday looked at me, "I can feel what you're feeling when I'm transformed, or when your feelings are strong" I said honestly, Wednesday looked at me like she was gonna rip my head off and scan my brain. "Interesting, we should bring that up" she said in her typical nonchalance. I could tell she was amazed, and a little weirded out, but then again, she loves weird. 

Thing crawled onto the bed as the door opened, "Hello again!" Marissa said, Peyton was following her as he waved, "Why is he here?" Wednesday asked, "He's training to be a doctor in medicine" Marissa said, "Yeah, I kinda wanna help people, not just cause trouble" Peyton added, he was taller than his mother which made sense. Marissa sat down as Peyton stood near the wall, "So, tell me how the exercises are doing" she said, "They're working quite well, Thing and I were doing Yoga while she was in class, and hell, I even started to confront the people who's lives I ruined over the phone, with moral support" I said as Wednesday smiled a little and Thing formed formed a fist which I bumped. Marissa laughed as Peyton smiled, "I'm glad that you three are becoming close, how are the other things going?" she asked, "We tried to keep an eye on Blake, but she....vanished" Wednesday said, Peyton nodded, "She went AWOL...again" Peyton said clearly annoyed. Marissa sighed, "I'll get Coach Vlad to deal with her, I've got more important things to do" Marissa said, Wednesday and I nodded, "So, Tyler can you describe how it feels when you transform?" she asked.

That was one question I was not hoping to answer, mainly because it's hard to describe. "Whenever I transform, or in my words 'let him out', my bones start to shift and grow, I feel my muscles growing bigger, and it's really painful, but when it's voluntary, it feels like a minor cramp in the side. Not that bad as it looks, it mainly feels freeing now that either me or her are it's master" I said. Peyton looked at us, he clearly had an idea, "The Hyde's like a hunting dog, hunting dogs can answer to multiple people with a lot of training, I guess it's both of you that are it's masters" he said, Wednesday and I looked at each-other. "That's...actually plausible" Wednesday said, "Peyton! Where did you learn that from?" Marissa asked, "Ajax wouldn't stop talking about this secret place, Nightshade whatever the hell, so he took me to the library, which is where I found this book on hunting" Peytn said, "You're a Nightshade?" Wednesday asked, "Nope, not yet, Ajax brought it up to Bianca Barclay, who is a real looker" he said as he nearly fell over, "You sir, need to relax" Marissa said, "Okay mother" he said as he took a deep breath.
