Chapter 16: The Woeful Cousin

(Sorry this chapter took so long, I was going through some things, like writers block, and scheduling problems, thank god I finally was able to sit down and write this after some relaxation and violin practice. I can't wait for Halloween, I think I'll write a special chapter about Halloween and even Christmas, if you guys want those, if not...I'm writing them anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter)

(Wednesday P.O.V)

It's been a woeful few weeks, just how I like them. Between classes, and Tyler's training, I've had time to work on my novel again, I've decided to include a character based on Tyler, he is strong willed, and unwilling to give up, since this is a murder mystery novel, it's important to stray from details, but Tyler will think it's a compliment. Peyton, Tyler and Thing were playing poker as I was writing, "I'll raise you 50 cents" Tyler said as Thing threw his cards indicating he was out, Peyton smirked, "Okay, I'm all in, what you got boy?" he asked, I looked over and saw Tyler smirking, "Full house" he said, but Peyton's smile grew wider, "You're good Galpin, just not good enough" he said, Tyler's eyes widened, "In your honour, a royal flush" Peyton said in a more sophisticated version of his usual British accent. Tyler groaned "Good game bro" he said as he shook Peyton's hand, Thing shook Peyton's hand, "What did you have?" Peyton asked, Thing revealed his cards, and they were all over the place. "Wow, unlucky" Tyler said, Thing signed that he didn't expect Peyton to have that luck, "Well, when you have this, you tend to be lucky" he said holding a necklace that had a four leaf clover in some silicon. "Oh wow" Tyler said facepalming. 

I smirked at those three, they were almost as close as brothers, Peyton also grew closer to me, since he showed me those Saw movies he loved, and we binged them until the recent one came out in theatres. "So, how's your novel coming along?" Peyton asked, "Very well, I'm just getting to the fun part" I said as the boys came to look over the page I just finished, "Wow, this Gerald character is really serious about helping" Tyler said, Peyton looked my way, he clearly knew why. I put my finger to my lips, and he got the gist. "So what's the plan about this Harris fella?" Peyton asked, "We've been keeping an eye on him as of recent, and he's done nothing but stare daggers at me" Tyler said as he dealt the cards, "I'll join this time, since I do have some information on this Harrison we keep mentioning" I said as I sat down next to Tyler and Thing, "Okay then, whadda ya got, whadda ya got" Peyton said. Tyler and I looked at him quizzically, "I've been watching too much TMZ" Peyton said regretfully. I kept a straight face as Tyler giggled and shook his head, "I saw him approaching Bianca today, he asked what his cousin was doing before he died" I said, "Oh, Ajax told me he was an outcast among outcasts, that his telekinesis made him...*whistle*" Peyton said as he circled his temple, indicating that he was crazy. 

"Yeah, he said that to me too, when we went to the Weathervane for a lunch hangout that one time, I ran into him as I went to pee, he said 'You're a monster, no matter who your master is' it sent shivers down my spine" Tyler said as he shuddered. I looked at him and held his hand, "Listen, although the hyde is under control, you are a monster, don't deny it, wear it like armour, so it can't be used to hurt you" I said, "WHOA! Did you just quote Tyrion?" Peyton asked, "Yes, those books you gave me made me interested in the show, and he's already my role model, since we are alike, except in size" I said jokingly, "True, you're mind is an enigma mon ange noir" Tyler said as he kissed my forehead. Peyton smiled at us, "You two, getting more macabre by the day" he said as he put his cards down. "So what do we tell the others?" Tyler asked, "We tell them that he might be planning to avenge his cousin, so we need to keep an eye on him, and whatever we do, we do NOT tell him about Blake being under your watch Peyton, he doesn't know her brother is her master" I said, Peyton nodded, "Okay, my lips are sealed, now are we gonna start the game or what?" Peyton asked. We all turned our attention to the poker game we set up, and it was a whole other level of intense.
