Chapter 5

Wednesday, 5:40 pm

In the bunker

Ella's POV

Ella: I just want my phone back. I can make it two weeks without the other stuff.

Sam: No. What do you think the point of grounding you was? To let you have all your privileges and do whatever you want?

Ella: I don't know. I've never been grounded before. I didn't think you guys were the grounding type. I thought we'd just talk about things and move on. I didn't think that getting grounded was a possibility. And I didn't think it would be this damn boring.

Sam: Maybe your boredom will teach you not to sneak out or do other things that you shouldn't do. You knew you weren't supposed to sneak out, you did it anyway, and now you're mad that you're grounded.

I'm not mad that I'm grounded. I'm mad that you guys think you can just take my stuff. Being grounded just adds on to that anger. It's like bonus anger.

Ella: I'm not mad that I'm grounded. I'm just-

Sam: Great. Then stop arguing with me, and go find something productive to do.

Ella: But there's nothing to do.

Sam: Go read a book or study for school.

Who does he think I am? Him? I'm not gonna waste my afternoon studying for school, like some fucking nerd. I have way better things to be doing with my time. And those things do not consist of studying for bullshit tests that I don't give a shit about.

Ella: Why would I willingly choose to study? It's been 6 months since we've meet, and you still think I'd choose to sit at a table and read my school books or study guides?

Sam: If you don't bring your grades up, you're gonna be grounded for another two weeks.

Ella: You can't ground me for everything.

Dean: He might not, but I will. He says as he walks in You're either gonna stop arguing and go find something else to do, or you're gonna take another two week grounding.

Ella: That's a whole month.

Dean: Congratulations. You can count.

Ella: Fuck off.

He gets really close to me, and now I'm looking up at him, confused on what's happening. Is he trying to be intimidating? It's not working. He might be big, but he's not scary.

Dean: You wanna say that again?

Gladly.

Ella: Gladly. I said "Fuck off".

Dean: I'm not in the mood for the attitude today, Kid. So-

Ella: That's too bad. I didn't ask what you were in the mood for. Maybe I'm not in the mood for your attitude today.

Dean: You think you're funny? Do you think this attitude's cute? Or maybe you think it makes you look cool? It doesn't. It's not cute, it's not cool, it doesn't make you seem edgy. It just makes you seem like a brat that's not getting her way, and needs to get her attitude straightened out.
