TRIGGER WARNING: MENTION OF SELF-HARM

Harry Styles

"Thank you, Los Angeles!"

I run to grab my bottle of water behind me, raising it to my mouth, not swallowing the contents. I run to the front of the stage waiting to hear the last clash of the drums until I spray the water from my mouth, finishing the set with my famous whale.

Taking one last bow, I rush to the side of the stage, spotting Jeff as he wraps me in a hug, "that was amazing, H!" Words of praise fill my ears as we walk down the halls of The Forum, adrenaline coursing through my body as we approach my dressing room.

Everyone runs into the room, the rush of the show filling everyone with joy as a bottle of champagne is popped. I take a seat on the couch that was set up as I flatten out the suit that was made especially for tonight.

At least there's a part of her with me in this suit tonight.

As my mind floods with the wonder of where Lex could be right now, Emma bursts into the room, her eyes frantically searching for something. As her eyes meet mine, it's when I realize she wasn't so much looking for something, rather than someone.

I stand to my feet, excusing myself from the people that crowd me as I meet her by the door, "what is it, Emma?"

Her eyes dart to the ground out of nervousness as she hesitates to answer me, "it's Lexi."

My heartbeat rushes to my ears as everything blurs around me. Emma takes my hand, leading me down the hall to one of the empty rooms. Chris stands with his back to us, leaning over the table, talking to someone over the phone that lies in front of him.

"As soon as the doctors say she's ready for transport, the jet is ready at the landing strip. Thank you, Maggie." Chris hangs up the phone and turns to face Emma and me.

"What doctors? What happened?" My thoughts swirl as I come to the realization that something has happened to Lexi.

Emma squats down and covers her face with her hands, a soft sob trembling throughout her body. I look to Chris to see a somber look come across his face as his eyes raise to the ceiling, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes.

"Wha-What is happening? Can someone please explain something to me?" Frustration covers my voice as my hands raise to my hair, pulling at the roots for some sort of relief. My legs move, beginning to pace the length of the room as my patience dwindles.

"Harry, calm down. It will be okay." Chris speaks as he wipes a fallen tear and turns to face my pacing body.

Emma's voice speaks up in a whisper from her stance close to the floor, "you don't know that, Dad."

Chris shakes his head dismissing Emma's comment, "Harry just sit down, and I'll explain everything to you."

My pacing stops, as I take a deep breath trying to calm my anxiousness. "I'm not sitting, please just tell me what happened." Anxiety fills my body, as my bottom lip trembles and tears prick at the corners of my eyes.

Chris lets out a shaky sigh before rubbing his hands together, I've never seen him so shaken up before. "Uhm," he clears his throat, looking up towards the ceiling again as though he's calling on someone to help him from above. "Maggie found Lexi unconscious on the beach after the trial was over. They aren't sure what the exact cause is as she still hasn't woken up, but the doctors have determined that there was a lack of oxygen in her body causing her to pass out."

Bile raises in my throat as my head shakes, denying the words that came out of Chris' mouth. I can't stop the tears from escaping my eyes, sliding down my cheeks, and landing on the fabric of the suit that I now never want to take off.
