This car ride had to be the most awkward car ride in Noor's and Mairaaj's life.
So quiet that even the silence was getting deafening.
Noor was so mad at herself for getting out of control that she wanted to throw herself out of the car and jump off a cliff while something in Mairaaj changed. The way he was stealing glances at her was enough.
"Un donon ka kia hua?" Noor asked to lessen the embarressment as if talking about something else would make them both forget about Noor's breakdown.
"Kon?" Mairaaj asked.
"Vohi, jinhon ne hamla kia tha?" Noor asked.
Mairaaj looked at her, surprised at her unhinged behaviour. Most girls would be so traumatized that they wouldn't even want to remember.
"Jahan unhe hona chahye." he replied.
"Kia matlab?" she asked.
"Uss ko choro, what do you want to eat?" he tried to change the topic.
"Kuch bhi nhe." she sighed.

"Suno, lets keep it from everyone else.I dont want everyone getting worried. " Noor asked Mairaaj.
"Ok." he stated simply.
Though Noor was surprised at his submissiveness, she remained quiet.
At noon, while Mairaaj went back to the office, Noor sat in her room, her mind still playing the events of that morning.
Who could have sent those men. Though she felt like she already knew but still couldn't wrap her head around why he would do it.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed, the one she had hidden in her side table.
She quickly pulled the phone out.
