"Preparations you say?" - turned Felix towards me

"Looks like it, I'm still surprised about it all."

"Why is that Ji? You have such an amazing form, of course Mr. Park would pick you."

A faint blush appeared on my cheeks upon hearing that. Seungmin, Chris and Jeongin then approached us. I wasn't expecting to have any contact with the members to be honest, after avoiding them for a year this one wasn't treating me well. Though I try to act calm whilst being overwhelmed by it all.

"Little guy, looks like us three gotta work together. Pleasure working with you aussie bestie!" - said Chris

Felix giggled before saying: " Pleasure working with you too aussie bestie!" Leading to Chris smiling at us but before he could say anything Felix interrupted him: "But it is also my pleasure to be working with you." Then he pulled me closer while wrapping his hand around my waist.

I could see Minhos frown from the side so I signaled him to come over. He didn't seem to like the idea, I shrugged it off thinking we'd have a chance to talk later.

After what felt like hours have passed Mr Park finally came back to us in order to give us the needed information left.

"Hello my competitors and helpers, I apologize for taking this long to inform you about our preparations. I decided that excluding today, after every 6th period you all visit the gym for further practice and talk. However, we will be skipping Wednesday since you do need at least one break day. That is all for now, thank you for your time. You may leave now."

We all nodded and later on headed towards the exit. Jeongin then suggested that we all go out after school to make arrangements together in order to stay organized when the time comes. We all agreed and parted our ways in order to get to class. I liked the idea, it delivered a possibility of getting to know each other better. Which we definitely need if we are competing together.

In class.

"Yo Ji, you got picked! I'm so hyped for the competition. It's Hawk we are talking about here! It is insane, Mr Park knows his picks are for the win!"

I laughed. "Seungmin you are making me even more excited with that. I honestly can't wait to practice!"

"I'll make sure to wipe your sweat away every time with a golden towel my dear king." - he then put his hand on his chest as a way to act on respect. I couldn't help but smile. I felt so happy in that moment, our friend group could expand. Maybe the members weren't so bad, was it just Hyunjin making them seem that way all this time?

"But still I can't believe we are going out with the members after school. Who would've thought us nerds could have some game?"

"Minnie!!"

"Oh please, Felix clearly has a thing for you. That man hasn't taken his eyes off of you once, plus he flirted with you like it was a piece of cake."

I laughed even though my stomach was starting to hurt. Minho who was sitting next to me was still keeping himself quiet without even looking at us two.

"Minho, are you okay?"

"You remembered I exist."

"What do you mean? I just left you for a bit since you seemed like you didn't want to talk."

"And you seemed too busy eating Felix with your eyes to care."

My eyes widened. What was he on?

"Watch how you talk with my best friend Lee." - said Seungmin coldly

"Whatever." 

Somehow Minhos cold response hurt. I don't understand why he is acting this way, it's not my fault that I was picked to play with Felix.

"You know what Minho? I wasn't eating him I was actually doing my work how it is meant to be done. It isn't my fault that Mr Park put me on the same team as Felix believe it or not. Second of all, why are you even bothered by it? Instead of acting that way, you could actually tell me the issue and we could solve it. I'm not up for your mood changing every single time someone else is near me, while you yourself don't wish to make anything else of us other than friends." - I said quite pissed

Seungmin grinned while nodding as a way to show me that he agreed.

However Minhos eyes started to tear up  before he got up and left. I immediately felt guilty but it needed to be said. As I was about to get up to go after him Seungmin pushed me back down to my chair and said:"He needed to hear that, for his own awakening. It is not your responsibility to keep up with his problems when he doesn't wish to communicate or commit."

I sighed in defeat, knowing that Seungmin was right. Mrs Kana then entered the classroom right after the bell rang and took a seat at her desk telling us to open our workbooks and start working.

A few minutes have passed yet no sign of Minho. Mrs Kana then asked me to check where he is since I was the one closest to him. I had no choice but to go and look for him.

Why wasn't he returning?
