After a long time on the road, we arrived at a place that looked like a military outpost, but it was obviously abandoned with some zombie soldiers roaming around. There were some crawling zombies, others trapped in the watchtowers, and even one of them hanging from a pole, struggling and trying to get out. This place is finished and has seen better days.

Up ahead there was a wall with a big gate in the middle and that gate was closed. Are we almost there? Is that the Colorado wall?

Harry: - Shit! Why is that thing closed? It wasn't like that yesterday!

Meg: - Who was the bastard that closed that damn gate?!

Hannah: - Is that the wall you guys mentioned? Are we getting into Colorado?

Meg: - No. This is just one of several abandoned outposts across the country. Colorado is still a long way away.

Hannah: - So why is it closed? You guys came this way, right?

Meg: - Good question. I think it can be opened, but the gate controls must be up there.

Harry: - And getting up there is the problem. I don't know about you two, but trying to climb this is like asking to fall and break a leg. Or two. The stairs are fucked up and there's no other way to open the gate.

Hannah: - I can go.

Meg: - What?

Harry: - Come on. It's too risky and you'll definitely break something if you fall from that height. Let's go around and find another way through.

Hannah: - No, guys. I'm serious. I can go. I know how to climb and I'm used to dealing with high places.

Meg: - Are you really serious? You know that thing is falling apart, right? Not to mention the fact that it's high as fuck.

Hannah: - What's the matter? Do you think I'm kidding? We need to go through, right? It's not that difficult to climb a wall.

Then Harry and Meg looked at each other and were quiet. I don't know what they were doing, but they seemed to be making a decision between them through looks.

After Meg nodded her head and Harry did the same, he looked at me and went back to talking.

Harry: - Alright. You can climb it. Since you go out here at night like it's nothing and even killed a fucking Tyrant Volatile by yourself, a wall should be the least of your worries.

Hannah: - To tell the truth, I've climbed walls higher and more rusty than that one.

Harry: - You don't need much to impress us. Just make sure you don't fall from up there. You never know when you're going to make the first mistake after a long time without making a mistake.

Hannah: - I'm aware. Just don't look down. It's the best move.

Meg: - It doesn't work for me. My fear of heights is an outlandish thing.

Hannah: - You should get over it as soon as possible. High places could save your life someday.

Meg: - Or could kill me at once.

Hannah: - Nah. They save more than they kill. Trust me.

Then I got out of the car and closed the door from the outside. Up ahead there were some barriers and some looted chests blocking the way.

Harry: - We're going to finish off those zombies and get that stuff out of the way. In the meantime, you can go to the wall and do your thing. I'll take the car off the road to make things easier for us.
