(The image of the chapter is a representation of what Luna would look like)

As soon as I got in the elevator holding hands with Luna, she kept looking at me as we went down to the lower floor. Finding it a little strange, I took a quick look at her and looked forward again. After that, I looked at the elevator panel and watched the floor numbers change as it went down. I was distracted by this for a few seconds until I looked at Luna once more and saw that she was still staring at me. All this time, she didn't even look away for a second.

What's going on here? Is there something in my hair? Is my face dirty? I know kids do that a lot, but she hasn't stopped watching me since we got in this elevator. What is she thinking?

Hannah: - What's the matter?

Luna: - Are you really Hannah Vegas?

Hannah: - You don't believe I am?

Luna: - You're taller than I thought. And beautiful.

Hannah: - I could say the same for you. Except for the part about you being tall.

Luna: - How do you do all those things? Aren't you afraid to go outside at night?

Hannah: - I can get by on my own. I have special abilities that help me do many things.

Luna: - Can I have them too? Can I be a super heroine like you?

Hannah: - You don't need special abilities to be a super heroine. Just be yourself.

Luna: - Really?

Hannah: - Really. But please, keep thinking that going outside at night is dangerous. You're still very young and have a lot to learn.

Luna: - Do you think that one day I'll be as skilled as you?

Hannah: - You're gonna be more than me. It's obviously not easy at all, but if you practice enough when the time comes, you'll do it. Just wait a few years first.

Luna: - How many?

Hannah: - About fifteen. Maybe twenty.

Then the elevator door opened and we reached the lower floor. I left still holding hands with Luna and looked for her room.

Hannah: - Your mother said your room is on the second door, right?

Luna: - Yes. Come with me. - She said while pulling my hand. - I'll show you what it's like.

As soon as Luna took me to the door and opened it, I saw a room with some office furniture and two closed doors on the wall to the right. I think most of the bedrooms in this building were private office rooms before the outbreak.

On the left were some windows and near the last one was a bed with a mattress. The mattress was big enough for two people. For a kid surviving an apocalypse of carnivorous monsters, this girl is living well.

Hannah: - Wow. Are we in the right place? Is this really your room?

Luna: - Yes. It's a little messy because mommy said it used to be an office, but it's comfortable.

Hannah: - Damn. Even if you're sick, at least you don't struggle to find a decent place.

Luna: - You never had a room?

Hannah: - Not like this one. I've never slept in such a fancy place. All this is luxury for me.

Luna: - Mommy said I could have this room, so I took it because I like to watch the city through the window. I also like to watch the stars at night.
