After I turned on my flashlight, the beam of light went through the shadows and illuminated that dark corridor. The blinding path made me uncomfortable and the darkness looked at me as if it was trying to pull me inside. I felt like something inside was calling me and I feared it could jump out at any moment.

And when I say something, I say something supernatural. I know it's easier to believe in zombies that exist than in ghosts or spirits, but at the same time I wonder: if zombies didn't exist in the world before and now they do, who's to say that the supernatural isn't possible too? Even though I've been familiar with the night for a long time, I still feel a little uncomfortable when I look at a completely dark place when I'm in a bright place. Volatiles can be terrifying, but the fear of the unknown scares me more. Anyway, it doesn't matter now. It's just paranoia that I'd rather not share with anyone.

I think the fact that I know that that radioactive creature is somewhere in the corridor is worse than the darkness itself. I hope I won't be surprised by more of them.

Then I placed the flashlight on my right shoulder and stuck it there with some tape that I always have with me. This way I won't have to hold it during combat and my hands will be free to do anything.

Taking one last deep breath, I passed through the metal door and got in the depths of that dark and claustrophobic corridor. All this for a biomarker. I hope it's worth it.

(The style of the police station's corridors would be similar to the game Resident Evil 2, but it would be pitch black with only the lighting from Hannah's flashlight)

As I walked slowly and lit my way, I smelled a specific putrid smell and immediately recognized what it was. There wasn't just one dead body there, but several.

As I walked a little further, I shone my light on the wall to my right and came across a corpse hanging from an iron bar that came from the ceiling. I don't know if the dead body was human or zombie, but I'm sure it had been murdered by that creature.

Up ahead there were more mutilated dead bodies and most of them were lying down or propped up against the wall. Some limbs were severed on the floor and their bones were exposed, which is common in a quarantine zone full of volatiles, but there is a catch. Volatiles usually devour flesh and organs, but they leave bones and ribs behind. Of course it was the radioactive infected that did this, but what impressed me was the fact that it consumed the bones. It's the first time I've seen an infected do this. Maybe that's why they're deformed and covered in wounds, but I still think radiation is to blame here.

Next to the dead body propped up against the wall was a door named "Changing Room," but the access card panel next to it had a red light on that said "locked." Therefore, I decided to keep going down the corridor, but not before covering my nose because of the extreme stench.

As soon as I turned left, I walked a little further and saw more locked doors along the way. The corridor seemed strangely quiet. No sign of the creature, but there was blood on the floor and different footprints that I'd never seen before. I would have followed the footprints, but the corridor is so long that they've dried up and I can't see them anymore.
