I woke up from my nap. It was already the second day of college and I was taking naps. I was on Khalil's living room couch. There was a huge gap in between my Calculus class and my Physics lab. It was a terrible idea to schedule a lab so late. I am still waiting for my teacher to approve of a lab time change for myself. I sit up and glance at the TV that is playing Steven's Universe. Khalil was nowhere to be found. I'm guessing he was in his room.

I adjusted myself to a sitting position and gathered my book bag from besides me on the floor. I went to Khalil's door to see that it was closed. Not trying to disturb him, I left. Good thing the doors locked automatically.

I walked out of there to my car. I got in and driving the short distance to the closest parking spot near Marteena Hall by the General Classroom Building (GCB).

I walked to class not passing by a single person that I recognized. Not that there were many people out anyways. Few people were in the late classes if they were an engineering major. Art majors, not so much. But they were on the other side of campus anyways. I get into the lab room early. Only two other people were there. I nodded my head in greeting but that was is all. I did not know them. I sat at my own table just in case I can work by myself. I know, I know. Engineers were supposed to work as a team in a group but for now if I had options then I would rather not work in a group. Every student realized that here was at least one person that does not work on the project yet still expected credit. Not that I was judging anyone in my class. I just wanted to be on the safe side.

Four minutes went by and then finally class proceeded. Apparently there were only 7 of us in this class.

"Hello, I am the teacher assistant for this class. Your professor will show up for the exams. Other than that, you may come to me since I will be grading your labs. The class is a class size of 7 so the room will split up into a group of 4 and a group of 3. Everybody make sure you sign the role and pick up a syllabus. The first lab is on page 7. Feel free to ask me any questions. You may start working."

I inwardly groaned. Of course I was going to have to work in a group. I decided to sit with the two female students who came in earlier with me.

Class was a drag. Labs were harder than in Physics I. I walked to my car with my lab partners once class ended. I actually ended up being cool with the two females. Never seen them before but they seemed pretty studious. Since they were going to the cafeteria I offered them a ride. Apparently they came from the same high school and did early college so they were freshman in Calc 3, Physics II and other classes that engineers were in for sophomore year. That was such a smart idea, get the classes over with so you didn't waste too much money on college.

"To the caf!" I yelled excited the day is finally over.

We got to William's Dining Hall in record time unlike during the day where campus was crowded with students getting from class to class.

I waved goodbye to them once I entered and swiped my card.

I took out my phone expecting to text Khalil to see if he decided to leave his place and hit up the cafeteria, but I saw Tamesha and Aseem. Pretty sure he was with his crew.

"Hey yall, where are you guys sitting?" I asked.

"Bonjour! We're sitting over at the usual spot. Had to defend our table. Some cheerleaders thought they could sit there." Tamesha informed me shaking her head. Both of them started walking to the table area.

"I mean, if they were the Golden Delights then I wouldn't mind," Aseem put in his two cents. Once we arrived to the spot. They put their food down while I put my book bag down. I only brought it with me because I was not wearing pockets to hold my aggie one card. The skirt was cute and worth the extra "luggage".
