Chapter 14- We Won't Be Resting Tonight

Isabella's POV

The next few days are spent dealing with James' estate. It's not pleasant but we got all his belongings boxed up and given away to charity. There were a few small things that I felt had some sentimental significance that I kept. I am not sure why, I just wanted to.

By the end of day 3 I am exhausted. Jake has been such an amazing help. We have been so busy the last 3 days we haven't spent much time together. I hope tonight we can just relax. We are on our way back to Jake's now.

"So I was thinking I am going to donate most of his money to different charities in the U.S. " I tell Jake.

"I think that would be nice." He says.

"I am going to keep some, but nothing too crazy. Maybe enough to buy or build a nice house and a newer car and then maybe give my mom some." I tell him.

He grabs my hand and squeezes it. He gives me kind of a sad look.

"Why are you looking at me that way?" I ask.

"Because you haven't told me what your plans are yet for us. You are supposed to go back in 2 days." He says looking at me devastated.

"I know. Let's talk when we get back to your place."
I tell him.

Jake's POV

We make it back my apartment. Bella says she wants to spend time relaxing this evening. I couldn't agree more.

"I am going to take a shower." I tell her.

"Ok." Is all she responds.

I head into my en-suite and strip down and turn the water on to as hot as I can possibly stand it.

"Promise me something Jake." She says.

"What is that?" I ask curiously.

"Promise me you won't break my heart. I got through it with my dad and with Tyler and even when we were young and I had to leave I was able to move on. But after all we have been through and all we have experienced these past few weeks, I know I can't possibly handle losing you." She says with a tear streaming down her cheek.

I instantly reach out and grab her and pull her close to me. I grab her chin and pull her face up to look at me. I grab her hand and put it over my heart.

"Do you feel that? It's racing. That's what you do to me. I don't want to ever hurt you again. I don't want to see you ever hurt again. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you." I tell her honestly.

She gives me a look of pure joy and I can't stand stand it anymore and I kiss her. She jumps in my arms and I hold her legs as she wraps them behind my back. I hold her tightly against me.
