Tripti

Mumbai, Maharashtra

"Tripti! Eat your food!", Ma scolded me, I had been busy thinking about the name tattooed on my chest. Rudra. Who was he to me? Why did I get a tattoo of his name?

I had lost my memory, all the events of past two years of my life were wiped out from my mind. Thanks to Shiv ji I didn't suffer any major damage, I had vitals checked and everything was fine, except my dislocated limb.

What I remember is me being in a hospital bed, nurse asking me about my relative's contact number and handing me a mangalsutra.

She said I had it when someone found my unconscious body in the jungle. That was the only possession I had. I took the mangalsutra but wasn't able to accept the fact that I was married. I kept it safely in my drawer once I went home.

I had asked Navya in person if she knew anything about my marriage but she laughed it off, and said I had gone to Dehradun for training. So I wasn't married.

Then what was the name on my chest? And the mangalsutra...

I didn't discuss anything with her any further, mother was already freaking out. No one had a clue why I ended up there, but when my mother contacted the LBSNAA she got to know that I had converted my training to the next year and had not attended a single class.

From the looks of it, my mother seemed disappointed, I felt bad despite not knowing why I lied to her and for what reason.

The doctor had advised mother to not stress me out with questions but I wanted to know answers myself.

If I wasn't training where was I for two weeks? Teh question haunted me and my mother, but she didn't talk about it, as doctors had advised.

My mother and sister don't know about the tattoo and mangalsutra, I didn't tell them either. I wanted to disclose the matter on my own. If there' was something I had not told them, It must have been important.

I was at home, mother and Navya went to school after eating breakfast and I had enough time to think... think about this mysterious name. Maybe I should ask Navya?
