Rudra

It was a fucking business event. Only the clean ones attended this and that was the reason I took Tripti with me. There was nothing to fear about them, they were just lambs.

But then I saw a fucking gang leader there. And I knew I had to kill him later, but before he could get any chance to do something stupid I asked her, more of, ordered her to stay by my side. I know she doesn't like being told like a kid, I can't help but be protective of her.

She's my responsibility. She's mine.

Before any of my rivals get to know about her, I'll make sure they know the consequences of even thinking to hurt her, and he will be the proof of it.

She was looking adorable when she filled her plate to the brim with all the delicacies and licked her lips while ogling at them. I would keep her preference in mind.

"The only sweetness I like is... you", it came out of my mouth just like that. And is was so true. But her response was the best, she blushed so hard after hearing me say that and then she said, "God! You're so shameless!"

I chuckled at her innocence.

After I was sure she was done with the food and could take no more, I pulled her up from her seat and led her to the dance floor. I didn't know how to dance, but I couldn't leave any single chance to touch her, be close to her, even if I have to embarrass myself with dancing infront of people, I'll make sure no one clicks photos.

A melodious music was heard and then all I could focus on, was her eyes. She was nervous and surprised by my sudden interest in dancing, but then she  hesitantly took my hand and kept one on my shoulder.

We were looking in each other's eyes, trying to find something... For me it was, attraction, love? I don't know what love is. Because it surely isn't my cup of tea. I've always hated the entire existence of mankind, let alone love.... Someone.

But maybe I want, her, to love me?

Loving me, she'd never love me, no one does.

Shaking the thought off my mind I get back to focus on dancing, surprisingly we were swaying with the rhythm. Perfectly.

We didn't do much, just, look at each other. The arms and legs were working on their own. Synchronised.

Soon it was over and I saw all the eyes turned on us. It was relieving as well as agitating. No man was supposed to look at her with those eyes! And no one was to know about my.... weakness.

I'll handle it, though.

She shrinks back and tries to get away from the attention she was getting. She didn't like crowds, I get it. I'll remember it.

After they all gave a round of applause, we stepped back and away from them. Tripti was sweating, it had been overwhelming for her. Understanding her plight, I get her outside the venue.
