One hell of a party

After a few hours of working the Pogues pulled up to the dock and waved me over. I exchanged glances with Heyward, and he nodded so I hopped on the boat. They were all quiet at first and I gave them a weird look, "Did you find anything?"

JJ immediately hopped up and wrapped his arm around me. He told me to close my eyes, and for some reason I did. I felt a slight breeze blow against my face, "Do you smell that?" JJ asked. I furrowed my brow and opened my eyes to see a wad of money in my face. "Holy shit?"

"That's not everything," JJ then pulled a gun out of his back pocket and posed with it like he was some FBI agent. "JJ, you are the last person here that should have a gun." I grabbed it and put it in my backpack. "That's totally not fair. Tell her to give it back." Everyone shook their head and agreed it would be safer in my possession.

They told me that they had tried to report the sunken ship to the coast guard, but they had just been ignored. Then they headed to the hotel and told me that John B and JJ had almost been caught, and everything that they saw in the room and safe.

We stopped the boat when we noticed some commotion on a deck. There were cops and people everywhere. "What happened?" John B asked a girl. "It's Scooter, I got a pic of his dead body." She started bragging about the picture and showing it to everyone. "Somehow that dirtbag had a Grady-white." Scooters wife, who I learned was named Lana, was over Scooters body crying.

Lana was mourning the loss of her husband while this girl was showing off pictures of his dead body and calling him a dirt bag. She continued talking to some of her friends, and I just couldn't take it anymore. "You're such a disgusting, bitch. Learn some damn respect." I snatched her phone and threw it in the water.

She looked like she was going to say something, but I heard someone behind her say, "That's the girl that beat up that server at the Country Club." I glared at them and headed to hop onto the HMS Pogue, aka John B's boat. "Damn, Lyra, you sure you should be carrying the gun?" JJ joked with me. I gave him a little smirk, in all honesty, no it probably wasn't a good idea.

We got back to John B's house and Pope started saying, "We don't know anything, we didn't see anything, and we need to have complete amnesia."

"Popes right for once. Deny, deny, deny." Of course, JJ would say that he definitely just wants to keep the money.

"We need to give it back." Kiara being the voice of reason.

"Not all of us can afford unlimited data plans, Kiara."

"It's not our money, JJ. It belongs to Lana."

"Otherwise, it's bad karma," Kiara said agreeing with me.

We all argued back and forth until John B said something about how Scooter was definitely into some shady business. We walked to the deck, taking guesses about what Scooter could have been in to. We started fishing while throwing some random ideas around.

"Prostitution?"

"Drug ring?"

The then decided that it must be smuggling, since all of the other options wouldn't have made sense to do during a hurricane. Kie and I were mainly quiet while the boys talked about there being contraband on the boat. After they talked about if they should or shouldn't try and get the contraband, they asked what we should do in the meantime.

"Kegger?" Kiara asked. That's definitely something I could get behind.

The boys hopped in the twinkie and picked up some party supplies, while Kie and I stayed behind to get changed. Kie had tons of clothes at John B's so she let me borrow some. She had a white one-piece swimsuit she hadn't worn because it was a little big. I put that on and placed some light jeans shorts over it. She then gave me a pair of her sandals, saying my converse just weren't the vibe.
