14 | Taking Care Of You

It was strangely quiet at the agencey today and nobody really knew why. Kunikida however was having a few thoughts on why that was and suddenly came to the conclusion that the reason for the silence is because a certain someone wasn't here.

As it turns out Dazai was nowhere in sight and had not walked through the door all morning which obviously led Kunikida to become worried about him.

So with that for the first time ever , Kunikida quite literally got up and abandoned his work and went out the door. Since Dazai was absent for a few hours somebody had to check up on him to make sure he isn't dying or worse dead somewhere.

Once he finally arrived at the apartment Dazai lives in he waited and after awhile he decided to just go in. "Dazai?" He shouted to let Dazai know that he was here.

He soon found what was Dazai's bedroom and was about to get ready to knock on the door when the door suddenly opened and Dazai appeared infront of him looking like he just woke up.

"Kunikida?" Dazai asked sounding tired and suprised to see Kunikida standing outside his door even if it wasn't the first time this has happend."what are you doing here?"

"Since you took longer than usual and hadn't shown up at the agencey I came to check on you." Kunikida said.

He begun to notice that Dazai also wasn't looking to good like he was sick. "And you don't look well so I will be staying to look after you."

Dazai laughed a little after hearing that. "You know you don't have to do this. I can take care of myself just fine." He said as he stood infront of Kunikida who only seemed to slightly disagree with what he just said.

Kunikida shook his head at this as if he was disagreeing with him. "Dazai you know that I care about you to not leave you alone like this."

And with that Kunikida had helped Dazai get back into bed. So now Kunikida had a sick Dazai to take care of and he wasn't sure how well this was going to so it but he was as he cared about him enough to not leave him.

Now that Dazai was definately in bed , Kunikida had decided to look around for things that will be helpful and useful. Once that was done he went back to check on Dazai with the first aid kit he had found.

"Hey Dazai how are you feeling?" Kunikida asked once he enterd the room.

"I feel like death."  Dazai said.

"It can't be that bad? How about I go make some soup?" Kunikida asked. "At least make sure you eat something."

"Yeah , some soup does sound good." Dazai said

So with that Kunikida went back into the kitchen and went to make a bowl of soup for Dazai. Soon enough he finished making it and carried it up back to Dazai.

"Heres the soup." Kunikida said as he handed the bowl to Dazai who took the bowl of soup from Kunikida and had some of it.

"Wow , it tastes really good." Dazai said.

And after that he begun to finish the rest of it off. Once Dazai had finished Kunikida took the now empty bowl and went to put it away.

Once that was done Kunikida came back to check on Dazai to see that he was now reading that book of his.

Since there wasn't really anything else to do other than stay to look after Dazai until he was better again which wouldn't be for along time yet , Kunikida decided that he should stay with Dazai untill he did.

"How are you feeling now?" Kunikida asked after awhile now that Dazai had put his book down.

"Like I want to sleep." He replied.

"Ok I will still be here when you wake up." Kunikida said.

"What about your schedule?" Dazai asked now noticing that Kunikida seemed to have abandoned his schedule for him of all people.

"Right now you're more important so my schedule will have to wait." Kunikida said and that answer definately did shock Dazai a bit.

"Thanks for being here." Dazai said.

Kunikida smiled knowing that Dazai did appreciate what he does for him.

And with that Dazai went to sleep. And in a few days time Dazai was better again. It also meant that things were back to normal at the agencey.
