* A Few Years Later*

I am about to graduate from Auburn completely. I went through over seven years of college. Now I sit here waiting for them to call my name.

"Krystal Walters."

My name is followed by a round of applause. I walk onto the stage, shake my professors hand, and walk off. After a few more names being called, speeches, and tears falling. They announced us graduates. We all jump up and down hugging each other and throw our hats in the air. After we're dismissed, I walk outside with my classmates and spot my mom, her husband, my boyfriend, and my best friend. I run as fast as I can in these heels toward my mom. I run into her arms as she brings me in. "Congratulations baby." She whispers in my ear. As we break apart, I smile at my boyfriend, Elliot Hobbs, wondering how he and my best friend, Carter Griffin, beat me out here. As I give him a hug we share a kiss.
      Elliot was a transfer from England. He asked me out the summer he figured out we were both going to Auburn. Ever since then we've been going out. He knows everything about me and I know everything about him. I finally met his parents our sophomore year together. My mom, Noah, Elliot and I all traveled to England together in the summer. It was beautiful. "Too much P.D.A.!" Carter stated. I met Carter in my senior year of high school.

"Don't be jealous." I tell her playfully."I'm just jealous of the people who don't know you two." She says teasing me. We all laugh as Nicholas, Carter's boyfriend, runs up behind her.

"Where were you?" Elliot asked.

"The bathroom, MOM!!" Nicholas says jokingly. "Well, next time tell me where you're going my little Nickel." Elliot says in an old lady voice playing along. We all laugh a bit louder. We head toward the cars and off to my mom and Noah's house. As we head in the house, Mom starts telling us the things we need to do."Boys in the guest room, girls in Krystal's room." Elliot, Carter, Nicholas, and I secretly head toward the basement living room. As we get down there and turn on the lights, Carter and I start to smile. My basement is now turned into a beautiful dream. There's a nice couch, a flat screen television, a mini ramp, a stage, a mini refrigerator, candles, and when I hit the lights mini white lights make the room glow. "Welcome to the woman cave." Elliot says. "We thought you guys would need a girls night out sometimes." Nicholas adds. "It's amazing!" Carter stays, her mouth open in a small o.

"I can't say how to thank you. When did you have time to work on this?" I ask, amazed at the talent they have. "Well, since I graduated last year I've had more time and Nick would always use his spare time." Elliot explained. "Oh my gosh." I exclaimed. "Well, since this is a woman's cave, as much as I love you, you gotta get out." Carter jokes. "We are so using this tonight." I exclaim. "People, I hope you are dressed. We are leaving in twenty minutes." Noah yells from upstairs. We sneak back upstairs while Carter and I head toward my room. Nick and Elliot head toward the guest room to get ready.We quickly get in our dresses and do our hair. We get ready quickly, helping each other out.

     Carter is wearing a stunning short strapless purple dress with her hair in a bun, and matching purple pumps. I am wearing a short black dress with an empire waist. It fluffs out all around me, with small ruffles. I wear my hair down in soft curls. I top off my outfit with black boots and the locket Elliot gave me for my birthday. He and Carter's pictures are in it. Carter and I head down the stairs together. As we hit the last two stairs on the staircase, my mom joins us on my other side and we all walk out arm in arm. There stands Noah, Nick, and Elliot by a huge, white, stretch Hummer limo. I walk towards Elliot with a smile on my face. "You look gorgeous. You are so beautiful." Elliot says looking into my eyes. "Thank you and you're not so bad yourself." I tell him as he opens the door for me and flashes me his famous addictive smile. I hop on in with the rest of the crew coming in behind me. "This is so amazing." Carter says."Just like you." Nick says. "You're so cheesy, but it's a good thing I love you." Carter shoots back. All of a sudden things get serious when Nick gets an unexpected text and says "Everything is in its place for the events tonight." Elliot just smiles and holds my hand. I think about my life and how it's drastically changed. All the events that have taken place in my life have affected me. One great choice I made was Elliot. I remember the first time he told me he loved me. It brought my whole day up in cheers. Now that I have a happy mom, a best friend, a loving and God -fearing boyfriend, and a new dad. That sounds like a great family to me. I came from nothing to becoming something big. I am what I am today because of God and the choices I made.
