David tried to get up and run, but Elliot had a strong grip. The cops take him away and we head back in the house. "I'll go get our stuff together." I whisper to Elliot. He nods. I know if he says anything, then he will be angry with his-self. I run into the kitchen to grab my purse. I remember something so I reach into my purse and take out two weeks of my pay that I already have in cash and put it on the counter. I pass by the couch in the sitting room where I see she is sleeping peacefully. Right before I walk into the living room I hear voices so I stop. I get super close to the door to eavesdrop. I hear Elliot and Julie's voices. Julie is crying. "I am so sorry that we tore your family apart. It is all my fault." Julie cries out. "No, it's not. You didn't know. It's okay." Elliot says. I peek a look to see Elliot right by Julie. They look at each other for a long time then Julie tries to kiss him, Woah, I need to walk in so I can check her. I am going to try to catch them in action. I hope that Elliot is thinking. Right before their lips touch, Elliot draws back. "What's wrong." Julie asks irritated. "I'm sorry, but I can't. I am a married man and Krystal is my wife. I love her and I don't feel the same way about you. Maybe one day you'll find someone." Elliot says. I stand there in shock. She tried to make a move on him, but he did the right thing. Maybe the books I read were wrong. I do trust him just not her. After I back up from the door and think of a way to enter the room, I hear Julie say,"Fine, I used you anyway. Nobody wants her. We all know you just pity her." I hear her stand up and I walk into the room. "Hey guys." I say casually. Julie gives me a hard look then storms right pass me muttering something that I didn't quite hear, but it seems Elliot did. He ran and caught up to her. "Julie, please don't call my wife names. Don't call me and leave us alone." He says frustrated. Julie looks at him then at me then walks away. Elliot carries Allison up to her room to put her in bed. After he comes down we leave. In the car ride home instead of music, we talk. "I'm sorry about this whole thing Elliot." I tell him. "No, you don't understand. This is not the first time. When I was younger, he got home late and my mom started yelling stuff at him. When she went up to hug him, she said he smelled like perfume. The next day when she was doing laundry and I was helping, we came across one of his shirts. It had a lipstick stain on it. I asked whose it was and she that it was hers, but we both knew she didn't wear that kind of lipstick. We thought it was a one time thing because he was drunk, but I guess not." Elliot explains. "Oh, I'm so sorry." I tell him. He just nods and turns the music on. "Let Her Go" by Passenger came on. Oh, wow. Perfect timing. I hear Elliot humming along to it. I sit back and let the wind flow through my hair. As we pull up into the driveway, we hop out the car and head in. Elliot heads straight in towards our room and shuts the door. I run downstairs to change so he can have some space. I call Carter's cell, but she is already at the backdoor. I let her in and she has movies, popcorn, Sour Patch Kids, and sweet tea. We sit down in the women cave together. She looks at me waiting for me to talk, then I tell her everything. I pour out everything that happened and how I felt and how I want to comfort Elliot, but don't know how. "Girly, I am so sorry to hear about that. I can't make it up for you, but I can be there for you. I love you both and you know that." Carter says as a grin approaches her mouth. Once I see her smile, I start to smile. "Wanna watch "The Breakfast Club", "21 Jump Street", or "This Is The End." Carter asks, but she already knows what I am gonna say. After a whole family size pack of Sour Patch Kids and two whole bottles of sweet tea, we fall asleep. We finished the movie though. My favorite actors were James Franco, Jonah Hill, Kevin Hart, Emma Watson, and Rihanna. It was so good. We literally laughed so much that our stomachs hurt. When I woke up there was a note from Carter saying she had to go to work. She has to leave an hour before I wake up everyday. I quickly get ready for the day and make breakfast. Today is suppose to be Elliot's day off. He is the owner of a Warehouse. He is usually exhausted when he comes back from work, but he still makes dinner. The things love can do to you. After I finish breakfast, I leave a note telling him how I will be visiting Allison's house to make her breakfast and lunch. I also added that she will be joining us for dinner tonight. I walk out the house and drive off in the car to Allison's house. As I walk in I see that everything is neatly cleaned and perfect like nothing ever happened. I even hear Allison's laugh in the back. I walk into the kitchen and start making breakfast. She comes in the kitchen and stops dead in her tracks. A man comes in behind her. "Krystal, this is Zion, my friend from work. Zion this is Krystal, my daughter-in-law." Allison introduces us. Something seems familiar about this guy. I can't put my finger on it. We shake hands. "I am so sorry to intrude, I was about to make you breakfast and I was wondering if you would like to join Elliot, Carter, Nick, and I for dinner." I tell her. "Oh sorry dear, Zion beat you to it. He made me breakfast earlier and I will have to take a raincheck because Zion and I are getting something to eat. He used to live in America you know. He works as a wood cutter and he has only one son. Perfect Package." Allison say dreamily. "So where's your son?" I ask him. "He is in America. His mom won't let me see him and I think she got remarried anyway to a guy with a daughter who is about the same age as him." He replies. "How old is your son and what's his name, if I may ask." I ask gently. He laughs "No its okay. He is out of college now living on his own and his name is Harris." He says nicely. I like this guy he has great-wait, what did he say? "Is his name Harris Miller?" I ask curiously. "Why yes it is, do you know him?" Those words just scared me. Do I know him of course I know him. He was a coward who sat back and watched everything. He never spoke up or even tried to help me. What a great brother right. "Yes, I do know him. He is my step-brother. I am so sorry to leave this conversation, but I have to get to work. I see his eyes light up when I finish. "See you soon then. Could you give me his phone number sometime soon. " Zion says with excitement and shock value. . "Have a safe trip." Allison says. " I'll see what I can do." I leave thinking what she is talking about. Maybe she said the wrong thing. I hop in the car and head to work. I just finished and published four articles in the past two days. I am working great until my co-worker, whose name is Trevor, comes over to my desk. We hang out a lot. We actually have been having lunch together everyday for the past two weeks. A couple of weeks ago we hung out at a bar and he accidentally let it slip that he was gay. I promised not to tell anyone. After Carter he is my second best friend. We hang out like all the time now. I am hoping that we could meet my family soon. "Hey babe. Wanna get something to eat our lunch break. There is a restaurant in town that is called "The Old Leaf" and I heard it has great quality food." Trevor asks. "Well, I guess. Lets go and we are taking your car." I tell him laughing at him. We grab our jackets and leave. As we get in the car "Say Something" by Christina Algeria and The Great Big World comes on and we start singing. I do the girls part and Trevor does the boys part. The songs goes off when we stop at the light. When we finish, the people in the car next to us start to clap. I laugh and start blushing while Trevor bows and thanks them. We arrived at the restaurant and take our seats. As we order we start talking about our lives and how we got here. Did I mention Trevor almost became a comedian? He had me laughing so hard at the table. While I was laughing he starts to smile. "There is a hot guy making his way over here. Be cool. I might have a chance. Here he comes. Don't laugh." Trevor quickly rushes out. I feel the presence of someone in front of us and I just start cracking up. It's probably just the waitress. I couldn't contain it, Trevor couldn't help, but find himself laughing also. "Great going babe. You always mess things up. Why did I ever agree to go out with you. I should've ate from my desk." Trevor says. "Okay, how can we help you." Trevor ask. I look up and see Elliot then look back down. Wait, Elliot. "Hey honey, what are you doing here. Trevor, this is my husband, Elliot. Elliot, this is a close friend of mine." I introduce them. Trevor gives me the look of how we are going to talk about his later. Elliot seems angry. "Honey, whats wrong?" I ask concerned. " Well, I thought maybe I could take my wife to lunch for her lunch break, but when I get there they said you were out already. So I followed where they said to go which led me here. When I come in see my wife and a man sitting together laughing and him calling her babe. Who is this really?" I have never seen Elliot so angry. He also has a pained look on his face. Does he think Trevor and I are together? I look at Trevor for help, so Trevor quickly slaps him in the butt. "Nice butt." Trevor says. I almost laugh until I realize Elliot is still here. "Trevor is gay and also happens to be a co-worker of mine." I tell him. His face starts to relax a little ."Oh. I will call you later then." He says embarrassed. He walks away and drives off. "You didn't tell me that your husband was hot. If I would have known, I would live in your house. Too bad he isn't my exact type. By the way, if it doesn't work out between you two, give him my number just in case my taste changes." Trevor says amused. We laugh and head back to work. I got a few more things to do before I wrap up and head home. Home sweet Home.
