I feel someone shaking me. It is Elliot. "We are almost there. Two more hours." Elliot says while stretching. I was asleep for eight freaking hours. That is like a normal rate on sleep I am suppose to get each night. The food cart is making its way around for about the fifth time. I get some apple juice and mini pretzels. Elliot gets apple juice and some peanuts. I put our food in the bag under the Sweet Teas' and Sour Patch Kids. I sit up and pull out my laptop. I put my headphones in and Skype my mom and Noah. I add Carter on as a three way call. We talked a while and laughed alot. Carter is on the plane now headed over there. Once my parents have to go, I leave so Carter can get some sleep. I knew if I stayed on then Carter would stay on until I wanted to leave. I start playing my music and start writing. I have been working on my story. My mom encouraged me to write about it. It actually has been going well. Elliot proof-reads it sometimes. I have been thinking about taking it to a publisher. I see a mini red sign pop up at the bottom of my screen saying my books have arrived. I click on a new tab to log into Over Drive, a personal library. I look to see what books came. "Parallel", "A Walk to Remember", and "The Maze Runner." Perfect, I have new books to read. My other ones should arrive next week. I pick "The Maze Runner" to start off with. I read it and start to deeply feel a connection with the characters. I go from Thomas's perspective, Albus's perspective, and Chuck's perspective. "We are landing soon, so we ask of you that you put all electronics away. I look over at Elliot to see him listening to classical music while reading. Classical helps him concentrate, but it makes me fall asleep. I gently tap him on the shoulder. He pauses the music and looks up as if I am the only person on the plane. "Put your electronics away. We are landing." I whisper. He nods and put his MP3 player down. He puts the book in the bag I brought. I gather my stuff and put it in the bag. I keep my Blue Beats around my neck. "We have landed on the ground. You may take off your seat belts. Please wait until the doors have opened to get your luggage. Thank you for joining us. We hope to see you again soon." The lady on the television says. We stand up to get out. The doors to our luggage pops open. I see Elliot's bag, so I grab it and search for my bag. My eyes land on it and I quickly grab it and start to roll out. I give Elliot his bag and we walk out the door. As we are going through the airport, we look for our names. We had to get a car that leads to our hotel since there were no buses. "Over here." Elliot says pointing towards a woman with a mini whiteboard with Hobbs on it. We walk over there and greet each other. We walk outside and it is beautiful right away. "Don't look at anything until we get there." Elliot whispers while we are in the car. He sounds scared. I only look down. "We are here." The driver says. Her voice sounded groggily. We get out the door to see our hotel. It was beautiful. It was called "The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino." It was beautiful. There were many windows on the hotel and there were many balconies. We go up to the front desk to a young lady in a blue shirt with a long skirt. We check in to our rooms which she escorts us into. As soon as she gives us the keys and shuts the door we just look around at the sight. There was a king sized bed nice and neatly made in the middle. By the window, which led to a balcony, a nice comfy chair with pillow and a blanket were by it. There was a mini table with two chairs by it. I ran out to the balcony and looked at the ocean. It was so beautiful and the way it moved. Elliot came out to join me. "It's beautiful." I tell him in awe. "Just like you." Elliot shoots back grinning. "Whatever Nick." I add on to his joke. "Lets take a selfie. We have to send pictures." I tell him while getting my phone out. I reverse the camera and we take a few pictures. After our selfies we leave the room to walk around the hotel to check everything out. As soon as I step outside, not only does the wind hit me but the view too. "I might have to move here." I tell Elliot. "You might move here. I think I am going to marry this ocean. I need to go surfing on those waves. They're so pretty. Please can I go. Pretty please with you on top because you rock my world." Elliot pleads. I just start cracking up laughing. "Let's go then." I say pumping my fist in the air. We rush back into the hotel and head towards our room. "Wanna race again?" Elliot challenges me. "Bring it on. If you win then you get extra surfing time and I might get in the water with you. If I win then you have to buy me ice cream and we watch Red Band Society tonight. That means no falling asleep." I tell him. The challenge was too see who gets dressed the fastest. We do it all the time, but usually he wins. "Deal" Elliot says. He runs toward his suitcase and I run towards mine. Luckily I almost forgot my swimsuit so I packed it on top. I grab it and throw it on the bed. Elliot is still searching for his wet suit. I yank off my shirt and bra. Thank God I wore a sports bra today. He opens another compartment and spots it. He yanks it out and throws it on the bed. By the time he is taking his shirt off I already am putting of my bottoms. He quickly reaches for his bottoms and I fall over watching him. I still try to put it on while I am on the ground. By the time I get up I see that we are both ready. I smile at him as we both race for our socks. I just slide my feet and they pop right off. "Ha!! I get ice-cream and you don't." I tease in a childish voice. We laugh. I put on my cover up and grab my skateboard. He zips the top up and grabs the surfboard. We literally almost got in a fight with this man on the plane because he was "bothered" by it. We head out holding hands. I slip my beanie and sunglasses on and I put Elliot's glasses on his face. We walk out and you would think we were on the red carpet. So many people were staring. Elliot squeezed my hand for a second. We walked over towards the beach where there were. People everywhere. "You got your phone on you?" I ask him. He shows it to me. "Push them out of the water babe." I yell as I see him running towards the waves. He takes off his shoes and hides his phone under them. I watch him get in the water and paddle out. I see a wave come and he dodges it as everyone else takes it. He starts paddling and another wave comes. No one seemed to expect it. He rode it like Heaven. No one else took it so he looked pretty cool. He had some sharp turns. Yep, thats my husband. The man who loves surfing. He used to be on a Christian Surf Team until he popped his shoulder blade out of the socket. It was horrible. It happened around when we first met and he invited me to watch him. I remember crying all night. I hop on my skateboard and put my earbuds in. I ride on the sidewalks. I stop at a sign that says that the skating ramp is up ahead. I skate up ahead to see a humongous skating park. There are two huge ramps. Only like ten freaking people are there. In California, there are people everywhere. You barely have room. I spot four girls right away, but they are just in the corner trying to seek attention. I don't get why these young girls do that. They looked about eighteen and seventeen. I also see about six guys skating and not giving a second look at them. I head over to the ramp that is not being used. I start off slow like they do in cardio. I then speed up a little and cause a little attention. I do twists and turns. I finally start to get a crowd. Sadly made out of guys. I wanted those girls to learn something. I end it with a 360 degree angle twist I have been working on. I got it from Ryan Sheckler who got it from Andy McDonald who got it from Tony Hawk. A long list right? After I finish, I head toward the side where my water is. I take a long sip. After I am done and I put it down. I look back up to see a couple of boys who are about nineteen to early twenties. "Hi, I am Michael. You were incredible out there. We were wondering if you would like to join our team so we can compete in the X games or you can at least coach us if you want." The boy with brown hair and a green shirt on said. "Well Michael, sorry to break it to you, but I live in London, England and the name is Krystal." I explain but his eyes just brighten. "That is perfect we all live in Leeks, England. We could meet half way. Please. We really need you. " Michael pleads. "Fine. Don't I need your number." I ask them. We quickly exchange numbers. "We have to talk to our main leader. His name is Harris. He got sick so he couldn't make it on the trip." Michael says. That brought back memories of Harris, Jena's son, but I dismiss them. "K." I yell. I grab my stuff and skate back, but not quickly enough to see the death glares from the girls in the park. I start singing along to Peter Hernandez's new song. It is called "Treasure." It was a song that I know must have been written for me. As I arrive towards the beach, I hop off my board and start walking. I see Elliot jogging out of the water. He runs for his phone and starts to do something on it. I feel my pocket vibrate. He texted me. I quickly run up to him to try and scare him. "I hear you breathing Krystal." He says calmly. "Dang it." I say snapping a finger. He hops up and gathers his stuff. We walk together towards the ice cream stand. He gets vanilla and I get chocolate. "Oreo Time." I say joking around. Whenever one of us says that we switch ice cream cones twice to get a taste of both. We have done it for a while. It is just one of our inside jokes. We walk back to the hotel and up to our room. On our door and other's doors are fliers inviting us to a event tonight for twenty-one and over. It is a celebration of the hotel's 75th anniversary of the hotel's grand opening. They have celebration for guest tonight and celebrations for employees' tomorrow. I heard it was a tradition. "Wanna go?" Elliot asks me. I nod my head slowly. We enter inside the room to take showers and change. By the time we are done it is about four' o'clock. I come out of the bathroom to see Red Band Society on and Elliot looking emotional. "Aww, Did someone get the emotional bubbles?" I try asking in a serious voice. I didn't really succeed. His face straightens up and he clears his throat. "It is just my allergies you know." He says trying to cover up. I smile. We fall on the bed and I give him a kiss on the cheek. We lay there talking until we eventually fall asleep. When I wake up it is is eight-thirty. Elliot is reading a book in the comfy chair. I get up and walk over towards him. "What time did you wake up?" I ask him. "You know not long ago." He replies. "Please tell me exactly when you woke up." I ask him frustrated. He sighs"Forty minutes after we fell asleep." He explains. "You should've woken me up!!" I tell him hitting him with the pillow. "You looked so peaceful. I couldn't wake you. I'm sorry." Elliot explains. I smile and put my hand through his hair. "Let's go put on our party clothes." I tell him.
