Moving Away and Roommates- Chapter 10
After the dancing and ceremony we went back to the house. Our honeymoon is postponed until we figure everything out. I get changed and run downstairs to start packing. I play "Rude" by Magic and start packing and singing. I have literally eight large suitcases ready to go. Most of Carter's stuff is gone. That's weird. "Someone's' jamming with that beautiful voice." Elliot says from behind me and I turn around and start laughing. "I just finished packing and I see you did too. I have a surprise for you, but you can't see it until we leave." Elliot says. "Oh, Elliot." I say laughing. After we pack and head downstairs to leave. I said bye to Nick and Carter last night. I see my mom and Noah by the door with gifts in their hands. "Oh gosh. Guys, you've given us enough." I say smiling. I walk down and give them hugs while Elliot puts our stuff in the car. They give us gifts then tell us not to open it until we are on the plane. They drive us to the airport and I see a man holding a Hobbs sign. That must be us. We get out, say our goodbyes, then walk over with our stuff. I see more men coming around him to help us with our stuff. "Follow me Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs." The first man who was holding the sign said. This is creepy. Good thing I have a gun and mace in my purse. I know how it was stupid to bring it to the airport, but I needed protection until I got on the plane. "May I ask where we are going?" I ask him. "Mr. Reynolds wants you there safe and quickly. He has a private plane for you guys. It is more like a jet." I look at Elliot and smile, but he still has a worried look on his face. I wonder why he is so worried. Oh now I remember. Duhhhhh, Elliot has a fear of flying. His grandmother died in a plane crash. I squeeze his hand and smile, so he doesn't worry too much. To my relief, I feel him untense a little. We walk over to an area where there is only two other people, a woman and man, who seem to be joining us. We walk into the plane and find our seats. It wasn't that hard since the plane wasn't that big. We sat down and waited until take off began. When we were up in the sky we agreed to take shifts of watching since we didn't know these people very well. I went first. I put my earbuds in my ears listening to pop so I can stay awake. Elliot is listening to either classical or sounds of the rainforest. I pop out my computer to add to a book I've been writing since eighth grade. It is about my testimony. How I got where I am today. I really like it. After I finish writing a little, I read a few magazines and books. I get back on my computer to facetime Carter to see what she is up to. I get online and her face pops up. "Hey!" Carter's voice says booming through my headphones. "Where are you guys?" She asks excitedly. "I am not sure. Where are you?" I ask wondering what are those noises in the background. " Somewhere you are not. Oh my gosh. I crack myself up." She says laughing. "May I speak to Elliot?" She asks. "You can try your best." I tell her. I turn the computer towards Elliot who is knocked out. We both start cracking up laughing. "What have you been doing without me?" I ask her jokingly. "Sorry, I really have to go. See you later." She says worriedly and ends our call. That was weird. I hope everything is okay. I sit back and paint my nails. I look over to see Elliot waking up. "Look who woke up sleepy bird." I whisper. He chuckles. "I couldn't help myself I haven't gotten sleep like that in a while." He says coming closer to me. He kissed my cheek then stared into my eyes. His eyes turned from excitement to pain to anger. " I skipped my shift three times didn't I?" He asks angrily. " Yes, but you needed the sleep. You looked so peaceful." I try saying. " Dang it. You should've woken me up. Look at me and you. You have a beautiful face and you have bags under your eyes. Your eyelids are about to fall in any second." He says looking at me softly. "Please go to sleep." He says as both his eyes and voice soften. He holds and cradles me until I fall asleep. I am awaken by Elliot shaking me. My eyes snap open and my body starts to tense. He smiles at me letting me know that I am okay. I relax and sit up. "We are landing." Elliot says. I start gathering my stuff together. After we get everything together and get off the plane, we head over towards the pickup area. I spot Elliot's parents waving a sign back and forth that has our names on it. I smile and walk towards them. I start talking to Elliot's mom about the flight and other things as Elliot pulls his dad aside to talk to him about a private issue it seems. The men help us put our luggage in a nice car that the Hobbs are driving. It looks brand new." I love your car Mrs. Hobbs ." I tell her while checking out the car. "Oh, I told you that you could just call me Allison. Also it's good that you like the car because it's yours. Happy belated bridal shower and congratulations." She says smiling. " No way. Thank you so much" I look at her thinking how awesome my family is. "Here are the keys and we are having dinner next Sunday, so you guys are to be there." She explains while throwing the keys in my hands. I laugh and thank her again. All of a sudden Elliot picks me up and drops me in the passenger seat, hops in the driver's seat, then speeds off. I start to get directions out to tell him where to go. "You're going the wrong way!" I exclaim. It is suppose to be the other way. "About that, I talked to your boss and we are actually moving into a house that is by everything including your job." He says with a grin on his face. I start to smile and shake my head thinking he is joking. We pull into this nice quiet neighborhood. The deeper we go, the bigger the houses get. Finally we stop at one. We get out the car and walk towards the door. He presses the doorbell. " Whose house is this? It's really nice," I ask. " Its ours." Elliot says. As soon as he finished, the door swings open to us seeing the sight of Carter and Nick at the door. What are they doing here? We all stare at each other for a moment then burst out laughing. We give hugs and exchange kisses on the cheeks. We walk in to see a beautiful mansion like house. The first thing I noticed was that in the living room, over the fireplace was a huge , blown up, framed picture of Elliot and I kissing on our wedding day after saying " I do." Now I believe it is our house. I run to every room and check them out. They are all decorated. I come back downstairs."Who decorated the house already?" I ask wondering whats going on. Everybody points to Carter. "I love it" I yell. "Have you seen the basement yet?" She asks with a smile on her face. We all run towards the basement. As soon as we get down there I could feel the carpet on the ground melting in between my toes. I spot a mini bar in the corner with seats and a stereo. I look to another area to see a couch and television. Lastly, I look to the other corner of the room to see a re improved women cave with lights and everything. I start crying and we all go in for a group hug. I look up and yell," I don't want you guys to go." Frustratedly, I march up the stairs to the ground floor. " We have to go now and to go back home. I got a new job as a paid artist in another country. I will see you later." She says giggling. How can she laugh at something like that. She runs outside with Nick and they jump in the car to ride to another country. They start driving down the street until they stop at like three houses down. They get out of the car and walk up to the house. What are they doing? No way, they do not live there. I see Carter brings out her keys and puts it in the keyhole. "Carter Amelia Griffin! I am going to kill you!"
