"I REFUSE TO GO BACK THERE *cough* Ah shit my throat hurts." Y/n exclaimed in disagreement as the wanderer appeared in front of her house, asking her to go back up to the Akademiya.
He then brought up their agreement wherein she agreed to follow what he says until she returns his golden ornament. She pouted and called him petty.
"Do you want me to say it in Spanish? Noh!" She says with her arms crossed in front of her chest.
"This time I'll come along with you. Just go listen to them so they could stop bothering me every time I walk past the Akademiya. Who knows, you might find something useful from them as well." He said but she was still firm on refusing that he had no choice but to hoist her onto his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
Flying up to reach the Akademiya quickly, Y/n screamed as she was afraid of heights. When he placed her down, she coughed and tried to calm her rapid heart rate before lightly slapping his arm for what he did.
She then tried to get away but he caught her by the collar of her clothes. Holding on to the railing for dear life, she still continued to protest.
"I'll only go if you give me a kiss!" She exclaimed.
"Fine" He replied.
"Haha, I knew you won't agree so let me- wait, for real? Are you /j or /srs right now?" She asked that she unknowingly loosened her grip on the railing, making it easier for the wanderer to drag her along.
If people from Y/n's world were to see the scene they were making, they might mistake her for a dog, unwilling to go to the vet despite their owner's persistence.
Y/n sniffled in defeat as she now had no choice but to listen to the students who pestered her yesterday. Just when she expect them to huddle and riot over to her, she instead received their apologies and respect.
At a long table inside the House of Daena, they all sat together, almost looking like a study group. And just as he said, the wanderer stood from a distance. One student stepped forward and explained why they were so intent on letting her read books.
According to the group's leader, what she just read was an ancient text from long ago, written by a sage who excelled in many different areas most especially in the field of astrology. They say that this sage created the tool that lets one see the stars from up above.
"You mean this scholar created the telescope?" Y/n asked and they all nodded. They then took a book and slide it to her.
"I ain't reading allat" she said and slipped the book away from her but they say that it was for her and that there was no need to read it out loud. She then accepted it and kept it in her item box.
"As for miss Y/n's constellation, yours were written in that wise sage's notes which is why we were so eager to know more. These strange constellations apparently appear once in every five hundred years." They say which piqued her interest and the wanderer also decided to listen in.
Y/n asked if there were others who had similar constellations aka zodiac signs and they listed at least 13 people in total, with the said sage being the first and her being the 13th.
"Although we have no proof to conclude, we do believe that Miss Y/n is connected to the sage or an incarnation even." They said.
"I think ya'll should stay in studying the stars than telling people this and that. *cough* Me? The sage's incarnation? The chances of that being true might be similar to pluto being called a planet- zero." She said. The students still insisted on their claim by bringing out a portrait of the said sage. The eyes, hair, lips, nose, and face shape were awfully similar to hers.
"I'll not fall for that. I know you guys just painted my face and made it look antique. *cough* Anyway, I'll be leaving now. It was a nice chat, good luck with your research." She said and stood up.
"Please wait a moment-" As she stood, her head began to feel light and her vision began to blur. The wanderer noticed her swaying and moved quickly to catch her before she fell.
Her eyes darted while she tried to not lose consciousness and the Wanderer felt her temperature to be higher than normal. The students worriedly called out to her.
"Quick call a doctor." A student exclaimed but the wanderer told them to not bother while he carried Y/n in his arms.
"The study session is over like she said. I'm taking her back to her house." He says as he left the House of Daena.
Reaching her house, he placed her on her bed and covered her with a blanket. She groaned in discomfort while he took a towel and soaked it in water for it to be placed on her forehead.
"You could've just told me that you're sick and I wouldn't have taken you to those scholars today." He muttered as he watched her sleep.
He stayed next to her, constantly replacing the wet towel to lower her temperature. Perhaps it was the feeling of guilt that made him feel responsible for taking care of her. Although she promised to do whatever he asked for, he might have pushed her a bit too far.
"Mom...don't go. *sob* please..." She muttered as she shed tears. He stayed silent and observed how vulnerable she was and he began to feel pity.
"I see, you got abandoned too" he mumbled before he wipes the tears away. It has not even a whole month since she arrived in the world of Teyvat but she still managed to adjust to her new life.
He's even more impressed by how she could boldly pick a fight with him despite knowing his past. Not only that but although he doesn't want to admit it, Y/n is beginning to grow on him.
Many questions with little to no answers, spiraled in his mind. When chances are given he would make sure to ask.
