It was hundreds of years ago when my first and only human asked me a question that stuck with me even after his death.
"Sirius, why don't you find another human to have a contract with? I'm old and soon enough I'll leave this world and join my eternal lord." He asked.
My life's flashing before my eyes...
"Hmph, I don't need another human to be my master. Having you is more than enough to bore me. When you die then I'd be free to live on my own. Ah, I can't wait just to sit back and relax so hurry up and die already." I said that but when he actually died, I grieved alone and stayed by his side for centuries.
If having another human to be my master means that I have to grieve over their death again then I don't need it.
But after living as a human for a short time I somehow understood why they were so happy despite having such short lives.
She showed me what it meant to be human and how to enjoy it. She let me feel that I was her family and friend, not just some servant to a master. She made me appreciate the little moments and celebrated them with me.
If only I met her first, then things would be different. Y/n...I loved how you treated me as your friend despite cursing someone you hold dear.

The wanderer stood by the door, arms crossed and observing the situation.
"What happened? How am I alive?" Sirius asked as he slowly sat up and looked at his paw with pure confusion.
