Me and Leah are getting dressed because DD's mom is having a kickback. Dd wants me to meet his mom and I'm a little nervous.
Ever since Valentine's Day me and Dd kind of have been our own world. It was school and him 24/7. No work or nothing just us hanging out.
"Leah I have no clothes" I screamed to her "girl your closets full of shit" she said walking into my room.
"Yeah but I don't know what to wear" I complained. "You're stressing too much" she said.
"Well I'm meeting my boyfriends mom and I want her to like me" I said.
I finally found something to wear and hopped in the shower. I got dressed and did my hair

I put my hair into a half up half down and waited for Leah to finish getting ready. After like 15 minutes DDot called her and let her know they were outside.
We walked out and got in the car. Ddot was driving in the front with Leah, and me and dd were in the backseat.
"hey bae" I kissed him as I got in the car. "wsp ma you ready" he asked "yeah" I lied.
When we pulled up everyone got out the car. DDot and Leah walked in, dd was about to but I stopped him by grabbing his hand.
"dd I'm a little scared" I said "what you mean ?what's wrong" he asked me.
"I know it shouldn't be that serious but I don't know, I want her to like but what if she dosent. I've never had a mom I don't know how they think, or how to act or anything like that." I said
"baby you're overthinking it, she's gonna love you. She's heard a lot about you already so I promise you'll be fine. If you really don't want to go in we can leave. I don't want you doing anything you're uncomfortable with" he said and he hugged me.
"No I'm good I'll go in" I said and we walked in together. There was a lot of people there because it was a family reunion. There were people eating, dancing, laughing, and music was being played.
"David, my man" some man walked up to dd and dabbed him up "yo uncle tate, what's up with you" dd smiled
"shit I ain't been up to nothing, I see you a superstar now, you and your brother" his uncle Tate said to him.
"aye im just doing me" dd said and he walked away. "He seems nice" I said.
We walked over to the couch where we saw Nailea sitting on Nottis lap
"hey girl what's up" Nailea said to me "hey Bae I've missed you" I hugged her laughing
"Yo I promise you these girls got some gay shit going on" Notti said to dd "hell yeah, Avery touch on her more than she touch on me" dd said
"don't get popped" I said to him. Notti and dd started talking about something while me and Nailea mouthed words to each other.
"y'all go together ?" I mouthed "real bad" she replied and we both laughed.
"what's funny?" Dd asked us "nothing" we said in union.
"Avery" I heard a voice yell, I looked down and saw Amiri hugging my legs. "hey lil man what's up" I said picking him up.
"nothing"he said laying his head on my shoulder when I saw a girl walk up to me and dd.
"What's up lil bro you haven't been here in a while" the girl said to him
"yo what up Melz I been busy but imma start coming down here more often" dd said hugging her.
"this ya girl?"melz asked pointing at me "Yeah this Avery, Avery this Melz" he said introducing us to each other.
"Hey it's nice to meet you" I said "yeah whatever give me my baby" uhm... ok?
I gave Amiri to her when I saw another women walking towards us.
"Dd, bebe te he extrañado como has estado" she said hugging dd and kissing his cheek.
"Hola mom I've been good" he said hugging her. "Where's your girlfriend" she said "she right here" he said grabbing my hand.
"Hi it's so nice to meet you i'm Avery" I said hugging her "oh you're so pretty dd has told me lots about you. I heard about your guys Valentine's Day, I even helped plan some of it" she said.
"It was lots of fun thanks for asking, how are you" I said being polite.
"Estoy genial, ven conmigo a la cocina, rápido" she said and I followed her to the kitchen.
"so tell me why you are with dd" she said to me. "Dd is a very sweet boy, I like being around him because he makes me happy" I said
"That's very sweet mijo, I just want to make sure you're here for the right reasons" she said.
"DD's been through a lot and he's still going through a lot" she said "I just want to see him happy"she smiled. me too
before I could say anything I heard really loud yelling coming from the front of the house. Me and Mrs. Osama walked into the living room seeing everyone inside crowded around the window. they're looking outside
I opened the door and saw DD, DDot and notti arguing with two boys around our age maybe older.
"What is going on out here" I said opening the door walking outside "Avery get your ass in the house" dd said angrily not taking his eyes off the boys infront of him.
"nah let ya bitch stay the fuck out here while you handle your shit" one of the boys said.
"Don't call her no bitch I'll smack the fuck out you tyson " dd said getting in his face with Notti trying to get dd to chill.
"Nah Nigga y'all the OY Bitches that thought y'all could rob me and get away with it? Hell naw" the Tyson dude said.
I went to stand next to dd "Yo both y'all Niggas pussy y'all out here talking not doing shit" ddot teased.
"Look this isn't the place or time so go find your asses something to do" I said
"stop fucking talking thot" the unknown boy said "Didn't I say stop fucking talking to her" dd said pushing him, and they started to fight as ddot jumped in fighting tyson.
Notti noticed something I didn't. The Tyson dude was grabbing something at his waist. It all happened so fast. I was trying to get dd off of The other boy while Tyson pulled out his gun and aimed it at me. BOOM
Everyone froze as we watched Notti and I fall to the ground. Only we fell for different reasons. Notti saw Tyson trying to shoot me and pushed me out the way and took the bullet.
dd got off Tyson and ran to him "NOTTI, NOTTI" he yelled shaking him. The boys ran away as ddot pulled his gun out and started shooting at them.
I stood there shocked watching everything happen. Mrs. Osama ran out crying and other family members after her. "SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE" she yelled
"dd" Notti said weakly "No Notti you good bro I got you I promise, you good" dd said holding Notti.
Nailea ran over seeing him and started crying. "Notti I'm so sorry I'm so sorry" I kept saying but it was barley above a whisper.
The ambulance came and took Notti away on a stretcher and Mrs. Osama rode in it with him. I grabbed dd and I hugged him right. What the fuck just happened?
