Nikolai and Fyodor sat side by side on the train, their shoulders brushing against each other. Fyodor had his headphones on, lost in the music that was playing, while Nikolai stared out the window, lost in his own thoughts.

Without thinking, Nikolai reached out and tugged on one of Fyodor's earbuds, gesturing for him to take it out. Fyodor raised an eyebrow, but complied, pulling out the earbud and giving Nikolai a questioning look.

Nikolai hesitated for a moment, then held out his own earbud. "Wanna share?"

Fyodor's expression softened, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He took the proffered earbud and inserted it into his ear, the music from Nikolai's playlist filling his ears.

As the train rattled along the tracks, the two men sat in companionable silence, their heads bent close together as they shared the music. Fyodor closed his eyes, letting the music wash over him, while Nikolai watched him with a soft smile on his face.

There was something intimate about sharing headphones, about being so close to someone that you could feel their breath on your skin. Nikolai felt a warmth spread through his chest, a feeling that he couldn't quite put into words.

For Fyodor, it was a rare moment of vulnerability. He was used to keeping people at arm's length, but with Nikolai, he felt like he could let his guard down. The music was a bridge between them, a connection that felt more powerful than words.

When their stop came, Nikolai reluctantly pulled his earbud out of Fyodor's ear, the sudden silence ringing in their ears. Fyodor gave him a small smile, a gesture that spoke volumes.

As they walked off the train and into the bustling city, Nikolai couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. He didn't know what the future held for him and Fyodor, but in that moment, with the memory of their shared music still fresh in his mind, he felt like anything was possible.
