Anya woke up late this morning. And she couldn't seem to stay awake even thought she had an extra forty five minutes of sleep. And on top of that she had woken up late yesterday morning and her Mama almost caught their apartment on fire. And she had to stay late at school because she failed a test.

Like always.

Anya felt as tired as a middle aged mom who worked a nine to five. But she was only six. And she only had to do school. Nothing much more. Her Papa even allowed her to watch cartoons everyday.

Her other parents before Papa and Mama weren't always kind to her like that.

Sure her dad was a liar. The world's biggest liar.

But he was also a spy.

And sure her Mama was...well she was a killer.

But all she ever did was care for Anya.

She was the sweetest Mama Anya had ever had.

So Anya adored her family.

And she found out her favorite - and her only - Uncle was a secret police officer.

Which was absolutely amazing.

So as Anya rode the bus she played through many different scenarios of her super cool family.

And her future seeing dog.

She tried not to fall asleep.

But she did. And was shaken awake by an older girl who she thought was maybe in sixth grade.

Anya thought she was cool because she had blue hair.

But the girl seemed too cool for Anya.

So she didn't say hi.

When Anya jumped off the bus - and yes quite literally jumped (she tripped unfortunately) Becky was immediately at her side.

"Anya do you have any more pictures of your super cool and handsome dad? You said you were hanging out with him last night."

Anya shook her head. "Uncie Yuri came over. So Papa had to make dinner."

Becky gave a deafening sigh and flipped her bangs. "That's okay. I will win my lovely Loid's heart one day!"

Anya sighed and shook her head. Papa was married to Mama. Becky would not get her Papa.

Besides she was six and Papa was...

Well Papa was old.

Too old for Becky.

Sometimes Anya thought her Papa acted so old he should be a grandpa. But maybe that was Anya being an angsty teen before she was actually a teen.

She listened to Becky prattle on about some show she was watching - Anya didn't care much for it. She liked spy cartoons but Becky liked watching romance and drama TV.

As the pair of best friends walked up the steps Anya met eyes with the second son.

A.K.A Damian Desmond.

"What are you looking at, Uggo?"

Anya frowned. "I don't like you today."

Damian made some strangled noise and started yelling at her but here is the thing about Anya-

She could zone out rather quickly. And when she saw her teacher walking into the classroom with a carton of eggs she did exactly that.

She wondered if they were eating eggs today in class?
