I hear the shower running. I lay myself down on the bed. Our bed.

Sleep is creeping up on me. I slumber. Losing my grip on reality. No sleeping. Please don't fall..... asleep....

⚠️TW: sh and other possible triggers⚠️

I'm screaming and crying. 'CALL AN AMBULANCE!' I beg my father.

He is standing right there. Looking at the scene. Doing nothing. His face is a wall and no muscle is moving. 'DAD, PLEASE!' I scream.

He doesn't listen. 'DAD, COME ON!' I beg him. I'm losing my mom. I can't lose my mom. He is standing there. Just looking at us.

I grab my phone from the floor. I dial 911.

'911, what is your emergency?' A voice says.

'It's my mom, I need an ambulance. She is dying!' I scream trough the phone. 'Okay, the ambulance is on their way. What is it you see, dear?' The woman has a kind voice.

'She is.. Blood. Everywhere. I. I don't know what is happening!' I stumble over my words.

My moms eyes are closed. The shivers she had a minute ago are gone. 'Mom?' I ask. I scream. 'MOM?' I shake her body. No reaction. 'Mom! Wake up!' Again no reaction.

'No, NO, NO!' I scream. I throw my phone away. 'MOM!'

I try to search her pulse. Two fingers on her neck. Nothing. No heartbeat. I scream until my lungs hurt. Not my mom. It can't be. No.

⚠️END OF TW⚠️

I gasp when I open my eyes. Two strong arms shake me out of my nightmare. 'Callie!' Her voice is hysterical.

I look at het. Tears falling out of my eyes. My face is pale. My eyes red.

She pulls me into a hug. I sob hard. I can't stop this feeling. Callie, get your shit together.

I hear her steady heartbeat in her chest. Her arms holding me tight. One hand is in my hair, stroking it. 'It's okay, dear.' She whispers. 'You're safe here with me.' Again her voice.

She strokes my back until sleep takes over me again. She doesn't let me go.

A couple hours later I wake up. I feel a body behind me. Who is it?

Two arms are wrapped around my waist. I feel hot breaths in my neck. Then I remember.

It's professor Blanchett, I mean Cate. She was with me this morning. I look at the time. It's 4pm. I'm very hungry. I've slept a couple hours.

I get out of bed. Leaving her body to rest. My own body already misses her touch. I put my shoes and jacket on. Ready to go.

An half hour later I walk back in the room. The smell of coffee and fresh baked cookies fills the room. I see her stir in her sleep.

Honey, I'm home.

I put the coffee and cookies down. I walk to the bed. I sit down beside her.

My hand moves to her face. My fingers put her hair behind her ear. 'Hi.' I whisper. 'I've some coffee.'

She slowly opens her eyes and lets out a yawn. Her eyes search mine. 'Hi.' She breaths out. 'Did you sleep well?' She asks me a bit worried.

'Like a baby.' I grin.

'Good.' She says. I hand her the coffee. 'Here, it's still warm.'

'Thank you.' She says with watery eyes. Oh, to look in those eyes.

'Your welcome.' I whisper. My eyes still lingering in hers.

She doesn't back down when I come closer. Instead, she moves along. I stop when I'm a few inches removed from her face.

Her eyes looking directly in mine. 'I'm sorry.' I state. I try to back away. But I can't.

Before I can react she grabs my neck with one hand. She pushes me down. With the other hand she puts her coffee down on the bedside table. Smooth.

Her body hangs above mine. Her lips above my ear. 'You're trembling.' She seductively whispers.

I swallow. 'No, I don't.' I can barely speak with her above me. She looks me in the eyes. Her other hand is going up my arm. To my neck. And then she sets it beside my head. To keep herself steady.

She moves closer. And closer. And closer. Her lips linger above mine. She is hot. Her breath warms my lips.

I tilt my head to be closer but she pushes my head down with her hand.

There we are. Doing this.

'God,' she whispers, 'you're so beautiful.' My cheeks instantly turn red. You think I am? How lucky am I.
