I wake up. Where am I?
I turn my body. I grab my phone. 2:31am. I slept only one hour?!?!
I get out of bed. I grab the blanket of the chair. It's soft. I open the door and walk to the bathroom.
When I'm done I walk back to my room. 'Hi.' I turn around. There she is. 'Hi.' I breath out. 'You scared me.' I say.
'Oh, I'm sorry, dear.' She walk up to me. Her pj's look cute. A silk short and a silk top. Very revealing. 'Eyes here.' I quickly look in her eyes. My cheeks turn red. 'I'm sorry.' I mumble.
'I can't sleep.' She says. 'Me neither.'
'Can I stay with you?' She quietly asks me. Her eyes at the ground. Probably embarrassed. Cute.
'Sure, come on.' I wave her in my room. I walk up to my bed. Curl up under the blanket. She closes the door. She lifts the blanket. She crawls towards me. She holds me. 'Goodnight, darling.' She whispers. A twinkle rushes through my core.
I hum. Can't answer properly.
She holds me close. I love this feeling. Someone who cares about you. My eyelids feel heavy again. I fall asleep.
The sound of my alarm wakes me a couple hours later. I open my eyes. I hate mornings.
I feel an empty space beside me. The place Cate warmed up last night. I groan. Empty. No Cate. No warmth.
I get out of bed. I find a pile of clothes and a note on the chair in the corner of the room. I grab the note. It says,
'Goodmorning! Hope you slept well. The kids woke me up. So I had to leave. Breakfast is served downstairs. X Cate
Also, I think these clothes will look good on you!'I smile. Even her handwriting is perfect. I grab the clothes. It's a brown turtleneck and an plaid pants. I love it. I put the clothes on. They actually look good on me. The clothes smell like her.
The outfit:
I walk downstairs. I hear kids running. Why so noisy?
I enter the kitchen. Three kids are sitting around the table. 'Goodmorning y'all.' My voice sounds still a bit sleepy.
'Hi, are you mommy's friend?' I hear a small voice. I look at the little girl. 'Yes, I am. My name is Callie.' I feel a bit awkward. 'What is your name?' I ask the little one. 'I'm Edith, I'm five.' She holds up five fingers. I laugh at her.
'I'm Roman, nice to meet you.' A boy says. 'Hi, Roman. Lovely to meet you.' I shake his hand.
'That's Ignatius, he is a bit shy.' Roman tells me. 'Nice to meet you all.' I laugh. I take a deep breath.
'Mom!' Edith opens her mouth and calls for her mom. It sounds more like she is fighting for her life.
'Yes?' I hear her voice from behind. 'Cawlie is awake.' The girl tells her mom with big eyes.
'Yes, I can see that, honey.' Cate lifts Edith. She gives me a little smile. 'Roman, have you seen Anna?' Cate asks again.
'No, I hav-' Roman gets interrupted by a very happy Anna who shouts 'Goodmorning y'all!'
Roman clears his throat 'There she is, mom.' And he walks away. I'm still standing in the middle of all this chaos. When I look at Cate she is already smiling at me.
'Kids, come on. Get your stuff, Anna will bring you to school!' The kids leave the room with Anna to get their coats and bags for school.
Cate immediately walks towards me. She wraps her arms around my waist. She plants her forehead against mine.
I wrap my arms around her neck. 'I missed you this morning.' I whisper.
'Sorry, dear, I heard Edith so I went to her.' She apologizes. 'Hey, don't say that. You should go to your kids if they need you.' I look her in the eyes.
She lays one hand in my neck. She pulls me closer. Her lips crush on mine. Passion.
Her tongue touches my lips. I let her in. Lust.
Her tongue finds mine. I grab her face with both hands. I pull her closer. I feel a sparkle in my core.
She pushes me against the sink. Her hands are over my body. Things start to heat up.
We hear the kids returning to the kitchen. She stumbles backwards. She gives me a grin.
Edith runs in. 'Mom!' Cate picks her up.
'Goodluck today, honey.' Cate says. She gives Edith a kiss on the forehead. Cutest thing.
Ignatius and Roman walk in. 'Bye, mom.' They give Cate a both a kiss. 'Bye boys, do your best today.' She says.
'We always do, mom.' Ignatius says. They walk off. 'I'm proud of you!' Cate yells before we hear the frontdoor close.
'I should bring you to school.' Cate says while she grabs her coat.
'No.' I state. 'Why not?'
'I don't want to.' I say. 'I won't be having your class today so it makes no sense to go.' I give her a grin.
Cate breaths out. 'I can't believe I'm keeping a student off school.' Her voice sounds raw.
I laugh out. 'Punish me then, professor.'
