Back to present time:
Tam POV:
Last night was eventful to say the least.
I haven't talked to Sam since that night (for obvious reasons)
I looked at myself through the bathroom mirror. I had dark circles under my eyes and you could tell that I had been crying. My hair was flying everywhere in all directions no matter how many times I tried to calm it. I let out a big breath of air and washed my hands. Linh had been avoiding me all morning, I think she could tell that I wanted to be alone.
The cold water flowed over my hands and I suddenly felt more awake.
I let the cold water pool in my cupped hands and I splashed it into my face. I shook my head slightly and quickly wiped the water away before it dripped all over my shirt.
I walked out of the bathroom, the old wooden floors creaking under my feet. I face planted into my bed, and let out a soft groan.
"Hey," Linh whispered from the doorway, "Can I come in?"
I let out a small grunt to let her in.
She walked over and set down at the end of the bed and the mattress shifted to her weight.
"So about last night,"
"I don't want to talk about it." I snapped.
"I told you," Another voice proclaimed from down the hall.
I scrambled into a sitting position and quickly covered myself with a blanket.
Biana slowly walked out of the dark hall and leaned against the door frame.
"Hi Tam,"
"H-hey Biana," I stuttered.
She looked at me a moment more before softly walking into my room and sitting on the hardwood floors. I could tell she was being careful walking around my room like it was a landmine. I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks as I realized the amount of clothing scattered across the floor, including the ones from last night. (I was tired, okay!)
Ugh, I wish I cleaned my room.
Biana POV:
I'm in Tam's room.
I'm. In. Tam's. Room.
I'M IN TAM'S ROOM!
I couldn't get rid of the fluttery feeling in my stomach, or figure out why it was happening, but I didn't like it.
I tried to focus my eyes on Linh or Tam but it was hard to keep my eyes from traveling the room.
"So..." Linh said awkwardly.
I suddenly could feel the tension and silence that hung in the air like a thick blanket.
"I'll leave you two to it," Linh said, nodding to herself.
I could feel the words 'No!' tugging at my lips but I swallowed it down, not wanting to hurt Tam's feeling, especially after last night.
Well, this was going to be fun.
