Chapter 3

...Sometimes the heart cries but the eyes are dry

Soon Goenkas, Birlas and guests surrounded them. Swarna and Suhasini couldn't hold themselves so they went hugged Aarohi one after another. They hugged her so tight and said

You will not leave again Aaru, never.

They parted and gave a kiss on Aarohi's forehead. Then bade papa came in front, Aarohi yearned to hug him but with a stern voice he said

Okay come guests are waiting, let's focus on the engagement.

Aarohi felt bad but she knows that she deserve it. Moreover that's what she wanted because she realised that every relationship has an end. Everyone nodded and then Akshara holded Aarohi's hand in hers and went to introduce her to the Birlas. Though Aarohi know their names and the Birlas too know Aarohi, they don't recognise each other.

First, Akshara introduced Harshvardhan and Manjiri. Aarohi folded her hands and smiled at them. Manjiri gave Aarohi a side hug, knowing the sisters pain and story. Aarohi smiled and felt different, she too hugged het back. Breaking the hug, Manjiri kissed Aarohi's forehead and parted. Next it was Anand and Mahima, Aarohi did the same by folding her hands and smiled. Anand and Mahima smiled back at her. Then Akshara introduced Parth and Shefali. Aarohi smiled at them then Shefali and Aarohi got into a hug. Then it was Nishta, Aarohi smiled and caressed her hair. Lastly it was Neil, both Aarohi and Neil just smiled at each other which was completely a fake one. Both murmured under their breath,

Neil :- Chipkali

Aarohi :- Chamkadar

Right then, bade mami soon accompanied Aarohi to Akshara's room and gave her a simple but a charming lehenga. Of course, it's her sister's engagement and she can't wear casuals. Soon after another ten minutes, with Aarohi's arrival they started the ring exchanging ceremony.

Happy tears were filled in both Abhimanyu and Akshara's eyes. All they wished for their love to unite without any hurdles with their family's approval and in the thought that their dream is turning into true.

Kairav, being the host held the mic and made the announcement gaining the attention of the guests,

So ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the ring exchanging ceremony of my beloved sister Akshara Goenka and my brother in law, Doctor Abhimanyu Birla.

Both the families gathered, handing over the ring to Abhimanyu and Akshara.

The youngsters hooted when Abhimanyu recreated the pose when Akshara confessed Abhimanyu. Sliding the diamond ring which has an engraving of letter A and a small heart, Abhimanyu kissed Akshara's outer part of part and small peck on her fingers.

Blood rushed through Akshara's body, her pinkish blush being more evident. Sliding the finger on Abhimanyu's ring finger, the hall was filled with applauds and hoots. Akshara hugged Abhimanyu, the soon to be couple feeling content with promises and hopes made for their fairytale despite all the chaos.

Song were played making the both the youngsters and elders to move their body according to the tune.

Shefali looped her arms around Parth's arm and moved after finishing their romantic performance, earning teaseful comments, hootings and applauds. Next, the stage was filled by the youngsters - Kairav, Vansh, Nishta, Neil. Along with them joined Parth amd Shefali, convincing,

We are even youngsters. We aren't old right Parth asked Shefali while Parth replied with ofc baby.

Here on the other side Akshara signed Aarohi to come near her,

Aarohi - what Akshu?

Akshara - you too join them nah *puppy eyes*

Aarohi - Akshu, I am not prepared right sooo..

Sensing the disappointment in Akshara's face, Aarohi quickly said,

Accha next time I promise to do a performance until my legs go numb, okkk?

Akshara chuckled at her sister's cute ways of convincing her.

Aarohi continued, but I wanna cheer when my Akshu and jijaji dance. Come on

The song changed and the spotlight was turned to the newly engaged couple. Sliding Abhimanyu's hand on Akshara's waist while her hands rested on his chest, they swayed together to the beats of the music.

The event was ended with light hearts, everyone were satisfied and happy but only one soul their was confused for someone else but definitely happy for his brother and sister in law. Don't know why, all this while Neil sometimes or let's say most of the times was staring at the girl who was in a corner being alone or with little children. All that he heard about her and the same person who is infront of him is not same, he thought. He never cared about Aarohi but some where in his mind Aarohi's gaining attention from him, knowingly or unknowingly.

Soon after the event was over, with spending another couple of minutes with the in laws family, the Birlas was about to leave but not before discussing the dates for the upcoming events.

Manjiri : we have another twelve days for the wedding.

Bade mama : yes yes. Look at them (Abhi and Akshu) they are really happy.

Bade papa : why not let's keep the sangeet in another four days.

Mahima : he is right. We can't exceed dates cause doctors are never free.

Manjiri looked at Harshvardhan for his opinion while Abhimanyu and Akshara now joined to the adult's conversation. Both Abhimanyu and Akshara looked at each other, to which the rest others predicted they have something to say.

Bade papa : yes Abhimanyu, what do you both want to say? Why do you look so worried?

Abhimanyu : actually me and Akshu thought, why not let's have a destination wedding.

Hearing this Neil jumped and side hugged Abhimanyu.

Neil : today is when this doctor brain have thought something good.

Neil pulled Abhimanyu's leg while he got a glare back from Abhimanyu. Akshara tagged along with Neil and agreed to this, while later the serious conversation atmosphere completely changed. Soon Bade papa cleared his throat and gained the attention cause they are lacking of time, anyways.

Bade papa : we will have thought about it very soon but for now let's have the sangeet here in Udaipur itself. I hop...

Before bade papa could complete, bade mama said

Hope we didn't disappoint the youngsters.

To which the couple smiled and the youngsters too.

Manjiri : then let's start the arrangements for sangeet.
