Also a PSA! I will be changing "Madelyn's"(the FMC) into the name into "Mara". Simply because I don't like the name Madelyn anymore and it doesn't fit the story. And to note that the previous chapters have been altered, so RIP Mads x
NICO
Where the fuck could this girl be?!
My head decides bunches up conclusions what might of happened to Mara.
I'm out of my damn mind for her.
Damn her.
"Chico, are you even listening to me?" Rico's chants in my right ear on the other side of the phone.
Forgot I was on the phone to him.
For the past hour he's been talking to me like he's a professional therapist.
He's a businessman that knows his sweet manners and opens the doors for people he doesn't know or cares about before himself. A gentleman.
When I'm the exact opposite. We're triplets, we have some of same qualities but we're different. Zina is one we don't see regularly, often she's busy with Mami's company which she inherited after graduating with a business degree. Crime is on the list of other things she does, De Luca type of crime.I slowly release a sigh out of exhaustion of looking for Mara, my fucking men are useless, saying some bullshit like "I didn't see the girl come out." I need to look for now men that can actually find someone like a five foot nothing girl under their noses.
Some men they are.
I rub my forehead in frustration back and forth until I get to hear the sweetness of Rico's voice again.
"Look Chico, she'll come back to you, she has nowhere else to go." Rico reassures me again for the two hundredth time in the last sixty minutes.
"How the hell is girl suppose to come back to the house when she doesn't even know the roads of Miami!" I snap.
Rain and thunder chant loudly filling the whole house with terror and frights.
It's dark out, is the girl even going to make it out alive?
She probably has her guard up from earlier when I killed the son of a bitch that put his grimy little hands on my- on Mara.
"Have you heard from Douglas from when he went out to searched for your girlfriend?" I release a sigh again.
Rico reminds me that my right hand man went to find Mara. I haven't heard from Douglas yet, I told him that I don't to hear from him unless he's found Mara.
"She's not my girlfriend, don't push it cabrón." My Spanish decides to make an appearance with my frustration.
"Then why are you so eager for the girl to come back? Is Nico Adem De Luca finally letting a girl into his cold black heart, huh?" Fucking hell, I can practically just see that smug smirk spilled across his lips behind the phone.
"I want her found so 'eager' is so doesn't spills the fucking beans on what she saw earlier to police, idiot."
"Last time I checked, we have the police on our payroll." He knows damn well that he's absolutely right but I can't give him that satisfaction of me talking so hang up on him.
I don't know why I care about her all of a sudden but I have the urge to drop all of my business calls to have her here with me back in this house.
I slam my burner phone onto the counter in fury and annoyance until I hear bangs on the front door.
