Oh god, not the boyfriend question again, Chay sighed, letting go of Kim's wrist he wanted to step away but Kim grabbed his hand instead, turning away from aunt Sky, he whispered, "say yes, please."
Chay looked at him stunned. What is he on? He frowned and pushed Kim to the side so he could see his aunt still standing with her hands on her hips, eying them both up and down, but especially Kim.
Kim didn't let go of Chay's hand, he squeezed it a little bit more just before Chay spoke, "aunt Sky, I missed you! Um...yes, this is my boyfriend Kimhan. Babe, this is my aunt Sky."
The pet name made Kim feel giddy inside, maybe a little bit more than it should. He smiled from ear to ear, "nice to meet you aunt Sky, your hotel is beautiful."
Aunt Sky put her hand on her chest, a soft smile on her lips, "you are not saying that just because I'm Chay's aunt, right?"
Kim shook his head, "your hotel is truly really nice and cosy. I—"
"She is just teasing," Chay laughed, and wrapped his free hand over their joined hands, giving Kim some comfort — for what reason, he had no idea. "Right, aunt, Sky?"
"Sure I am, but I do have one serious question."
Chay already knew that it was coming...she was going to kick Kim out of the room. Boyfriends, no boyfriends — even though they really were no boyfriends — his aunt definitely was not about to let them be in one room without her supervision.
"Why are you two not staying in one room?"
What? Chay's mind had a small crisis. So his aunt was actually bothered by the fact that they were not staying in one room? Was there a crack in the simulation or what?
Kim was looking at Chay but when he realised that Chay most likely didn't know what to say he decided to take it on himself. He was the one who wanted Chay to pretend that they were boyfriends after all.
"Um...it was my idea, aunt Sky. It's my first time visiting you with Chay and I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable with me and Chay sharing a room together."
"Uncomfortable? Oh, please, Kimhan," aunt Sky waved her hand in dismissal. "Why would I be uncomfortable? You two are boyfriends. Frankly, what makes me feel uncomfortable is you two sleeping in different rooms — it seems to me like you don't really care about my Chay."
"Aunt Sky!" Chay called out in surprise.
"It's not like that. I care about Chay more than anything. I swear."
"Well, if that's the case then you both won't mind if I go down to the reception and put you both in this room, would you?"
"The boyfriends" looked at each other, one internally freaking out because this wasn't what he had expected at all, and the other so done with the whole situation and especially with his aunt because what the hell? She can't just put them in one room and expect Chay not to somehow accidentally trip and fall over right on Kim's lips. Accidents like that can definitely happen. And what would Chay do then?
