after her set line up of songs, winona turns to the crowd in her second performance at royal albert.
"this song, unreleased, is actually a little bit about someone i've started to get to know recently. he's actually such a great guy. this song is called nonsense."
the guitar and bass felt sultry. winona had taken off her vest and revealed the fit below. a black short sleeved turtleneck with her camo cargo pants and combat boots.
"think i only want one number in my phone, i might change your contact to, don't leave me alone. you said you like my eyes and you like to make 'em roll. treat me like a queen, now you got me feelin' thrown, oh."
she took the microphone from the stand and started slow choreography, "but i can't help myself when you get close to me. baby, my tongue goes numb; sounds like bleh, blah, blee. i don't want no one else, baby, i'm in too deep."
"here's a lil' song i wrote, it's about you and me." swaying back and forth, two backup dancers joined her, "i'll be honest, lookin at you got me thinking nonsense. cartwheels in my stomach when you walk in and when you got your arms around me?"
winona smiles as she dances with a backup dancer, "ooh, it feels so good i had to jump the octave. i think i got an ex but i forgot him and i can't find my chill, i must have lost it. i don't even know i'm talkin' nonsense. i'm talkin', i'm talkin'."
people cheered and winona laughed. "i'm talkin' all around the clock. i'm talkin' hope nobody knocks, i'm talkin' opposite of soft, i'm talkin' wild, wild thoughts. you gotta keep up with me, i got some young energy. i caught the l-o-v-e, how do you do this to me?"
the instrumental really got the audience grooving. people were still cheering as she sat down on the stage. two back up dancers starting letting their hands dance on her body as she sang to the audience.
thinking up words for the outro, she smiled as she slotted the mic back to its stand, "i'll be honest, you'll never know who this guy i wrote the song about is. i love you london, you're a great audience. woke up and think about how i got this. how quickly can you take your clothes off? pop quiz."
as the song ended, everyone loudly cheered. winona laughed and waved to everyone before leaving the venue and walking straight to the green room to relax.
a knock on the brunettes door made winona look up from her intense game of cut the rope. "hi." george stood at the door. "jack let you in?"
"he did." george smiled a little. "who did you write nonsense about?"
winona's eyes went wide as a window, "w-what? what do you mean?" george sent winona a video of her singing a bit of nonsense. she was speechless.
"oh. why are you asking?" "because the way you sung seemed like you were thinking about someone while singing it." "not that i know of?" winona said, "i feel like that's a standard in the industry, right."
patting the end of the bed, george sat, "what are you going on about?" he wore a lilac jumper.
"that every song someone writes has to be about someone or something! majority of my songs aren't about anything or anyone. i write them because i want to." winona stressed.
george nodded, feeling she wasn't telling the whole truth. he put that thought to bed, "what were you doing before i came and disturbed you?"
winona showed him, "this logic puzzle game. i'll have to show you how to play it as its super hard to explain without showing."
winona watched george zoom through the levels. "you got the hang of it really fast, good god." "i'm smart," george grinned, a smug look as he looked up.
oh, how winona could just lean down and kiss him. but she wouldn't do that.
"a smartass." she shrugged. george scoffed nudging her. "so i have to lie now?"
"you're a smartass." "but you love me for it."
winona, stunned, laughed at her words. george's cheeks went rose.
"sorry, i don't know why i said that."
george looked at the imaginary watch on his wrist and stood up. he held her arm slightly, "i'll see you later?" he brushed a piece of hair behind her ear before leaving.
winona immediately bid george farewell and as she shut the door, she jumped up and down.
maybe george was starting to feel something, she hoped.
finn speaks!!
personally, i would freak out if he brushed hair behind MY ear
also him in that lilac jumper takes me out.
