Liv remained at the tower, working from there as Tony headed off to work with SHIELD. She smirked, seeing that he had planted the chip from the helicarrier he was on, and she linked in, ready to go through all the new files that SHIELD had. She wanted to know, what was really going on.
She had tracked Tony, keeping an eye on him from afar. She didn't really want to be in the middle of it all, but would remain behind for now. If she was needed, she would suit up and join Tony.
She watched from her holo table, the so called team having an argument in Banners lab, and she rolled her eyes, siphoning the files. She would look through them all later, but right now, she wanted to knock their heads together, especially when the captain turned on Tony.
Running a hand over her face, she heard an explosion through her comm, and dropped her hand, looking at the screen. She lost video feed and her connection to Tony, feeling her anxiety start to climb. She knew exactly where the helicarrier was, and she was determined to go find them, and save Tony.
As she strode towards the elevator, she felt herself get hit in the back, and she dropped to her knees, feeling the voltage rip through her. Fighting to turn her head, she saw masked men enter in from the balcony, with one of them holding the taser to her.
Moving fast, she reached to her back, and ripped out the prongs, rolling to the side. She didn't have time to catch her breath, as they opened fire towards her. She moved behind a couch, waiting to hear them pause to reload. When she did, she flipped over the couch to the first guy, gripping his gun from his hands, and kneeing him in the groin, bringing him down. Using the gun, she hit him around the side of the head, knocking him out.
She quickly took note, 9 men in total, and went for another. There was no way she was going to let them take the tower. This was her home, and she wasn't going down, without a fight.

When it hit Tony, knowing exactly what Loki was going to do he rushed from the holding area, and straight out past Rogers. He had to get back, he had to make sure she was safe.
The remaining team quickly gathered and Tony told them what he thought, and about Liv. If Loki was going to the tower, then the only one in his way, was her. Tony knew she was strong, and could fight, but taking on a god alone, especially if he had others under his control, she didn't stand a chance.
Tony's mind flitted to the fact Coulson had died trying to stop Loki, and the last thing he wanted, was to find Loki had killed her too.

Liv stood panting, ripping at her tshirt. She needed to stop her arm from bleeding. The bullet pieced her flesh, only causing a graze. She was aching all over from the fight, but at least they were down. Jarvis had informed her that others had gotten in, and were taking control before he cut out.
Liv knew she didn't have much time, but she wasn't letting them get any further. Picking up one of the discarded guns, she checked the safety, and headed to the elevator. She watched it ascend, heading to the top floor. Smirking to herself, she moved to the stairwell, knowing she was only a few floors below.
Taking them two at a time, she rushed up, hearing voices behind the door. Keeping herself hidden, she waited until the voices faded, before heading out, and finding that they took the door to the roof. She made sure to check around her, before slipping outside, hiding behind a vent, as she listened to them.
Peeking out ever so slightly, she saw an open case, with the blue cube, not far from her, and Selvig at a machine, just a little further away. She listened to the footsteps, crunching on the gravel, knowing there were 6 men, and Selvig in total. She could do this, if she could get the cube and escape, then that would stop them.
Being as careful as she could, to not make any noise, she moved forward slowly, checking their positions. Once she was close enough, she reached out, and took the cube from the case, hugging it to her chest with her injured arm. Moving back to the door, leading into he tower, she felt as though her skin was staring to burn. Looking down, she saw that the cube was pressing into her wound, and shrugged it off. She didn't care about her life, as long as she could stop Loki.
Just when she though she was safe, she felt someone grab her by the hair, pulling her back. She swung around in their grip, and aimed her gun at their legs, shooting them. She took down one, and cursed herself mentally, knowing she had just drawn attention to herself. Sprinting for the door, she made it in, and headed for the stairwell, down.
She didn't stop, even when the burning sensation was spreading through her. Bursting out onto the main floor, she rushed to head to the platform outside, hoping that Jarvis could fit her with a suit. Hearing another gunshot, she cried out, hitting the floor, and dropping her own gun, to hold onto the cube.
'Now now, that does not belong to you..'.. She heard a male voice tut at her, it was a British accent from what she could hear. Tightening her hold on the cube, she forced herself to stand up, not bothering to turn to the one who spoke.
'I must commend you on your determination pet, but you will fail..'..
She ignored him, forcing herself to keep going. The bullet that hit her in the back of the shoulder stung, and with her whole body, feeling as though it was on fire, she tried and failed to hold the small cry, that burst from her. She stumbled into a window.
'I'll take it back, whether you're alive or dead darling, the choice is yours..'..
Gritting her teeth, she turned, leaning against the window behind her for support. Her eyes fell on the tall man, with raven black hair, and piercing blue eyes. Her breath stopped for a moment, seeing the pain and torment swirling within them. He wasn't doing this willingly. Raking her gaze over him, she felt another sensation building within her, and she reprimanded herself. He was the most beautiful man she had ever seen.
She didn't realise that he had stepped closer to her, until she felt something press into her chest. Looking down, the tip of the scepter was pressing into her sternum, and she turned her gaze back up at him, seeing confusion in his face.
'Go to hell asshole..'... She raised her leg, kicking him hard in the stomach that he stumbled back a step, and he dropped the scepter. She didn't move fast enough, as his hand came up, gripping her by the throat, and pulling her close.
'I will not be spoken to in such a manner. Midgard is mine to rule, and you will bow before your king..'.. He reached for the cube, feeling her tighten her grasp on it. She struggled to breathe, as he squeezed harder. She didn't want to let it go, but instinct kicked in, and she reached to grip the hand at her throat.
A triumphant smile graces his lips, as he held it out for one of his men to take it it. They hold out the case and Loki drops it in, and the man turned, heading back to the elevator.
'Such a waste..'.. He smirked at her, still holding her throat tight.
Liv could feel her lungs getting tight, and darkness begin to cloud her vision... 'For a god..'.. She choked out... 'You're a pathetic piece of shit..'.. She forced herself to smirk at him, knowing he would kill her... 'Loki the loser..'
She heard him growl, and then he threw her back, hard. She felt the glass shatter, and then her body falling, as she gave in to the darkeness.
