Chapter 3

Lexie's P.O.V
Its been a month since Mark and I got married. Its been wonderful Mark and I officially bought an apartment. Callie and Arizona decided to adopt a 13 year old girl named Kylie and their happy. Right now I'm just looking down at the pregnancy test in my hand waiting the ten minutes it says to. I cant belive this might be happening. Shit! It's positive, Im not ready for this we didn't discuss this. I need to tell Mark right away. So I texted him

(L=Lexie M=Mark)
L- Hey we need to talk. NOW!
M- Hi are you okay?
L-Yes but meet me in on-call room 4 please.
M- Okay babe im coming now.
L- Thanks see you there.

Okay I'm going to tell him I told myself in my head. Mark walked in the door, okay here goes nothing. "Mark um im kinda pregnant." Mark just stared at me and then grew a huge smile. "Your pregnant babe?" he asked. "Ya" I said "We have options Mark we could give the baby to Callie and Arizona if you want to." But Mark shook his head and came over to me and pulled me into a long kiss. He wants this I thought. "Lex we can do this! We're going to be parents?" he asked me. "Yes, we're going to be parents!" I said back to him laughing. "Were going to be parents!" he said again smiling. "Im going to go tell Derek!" he told me. "No!" I yelled "We should tell them over dinner tonight!" He thought about it.

"I'll invite them over at five!" He was still smiling. "We're going to be parents!" He kept whispering to himself. "We're going to be parents!" I said excitingly this time after Mark left. I then thought to myself, he wants this and we can do this. I'm going to have a baby.

Marks P.O.V
Hold crap I'm going to be a father, again. I kept running that through my head While I was working. While I was walking out of the O.R. I ran into Derek. "Hey Derek. Do you and Mer wanna come over tonight?" He thought for a moment. "Sure, what time?" He asked me. I replied "Five o'clock okay?" I asked waiting for a response. "I'll have to check with Meredith, but it works for me. I was supposed to be off work today at one." He said as he was walking to the att endings lounge.

Lexie and Marks place
Lexie's P.O.V
Thanks for coming over Mer and Derek it means a lot to me!" Meredith replied "We love seeing you Lex!" Mark then stood up and said " We have an announcement to make...." then I butted in "Im pregnant!" They both just stared then they asked at the same time "Your pregnant?" I replied back to them "Yeah, I guess I am, I found out this morning, I haven't been feeling good in the morning lately so I decided to take a test and it came back positive!" So after that we finished eating then Mer pulled me aside. "Lex are you sure your ready for this? I wasnt ready when we got Zola, I kinda ran away with her....." I decided to butt in then "You LOVE Zola and your a great mom. Now you have Bailey and he's great to!" Meredith had an idea, I can tell when she gets an idea "Derek and I want a getaway for a little bit, and you and Mark have the week off in three weeks so... you can take the kids to see if you can handle it." I thought "Sure why not!"

2 weeks later.......

"Diapers are under the table in Baileys room, Zolas toys are in the play room and Milks in the fridge!" Meredith said. But before I could ask anything she was out the door. "Hey Bailey. What's up little man?" Mark asked questionably as he started to talk to Bailey. "Auntie Lexie can we go to the park?" Zola asked me. "We have to stay here." I replied. Then Zola ran outside to the backyard. "Mark? Will you go outside and play with Zola?" I yelled the question. Then I heard more crying Mark had just started to put Bailey down and I woke him up. "Really Lex?" He asked coming out of the room where Bailey was crying. "You take Zola outside and I'll put Bailey down again." I told him. "Are you sure you can handle it?" Mark asked. "No, Yes, No well I have to know how to anyway so might as well be now." I told him as he walked outside.

Maybe he's hungry I said to myself. I put laid him on the couch and ran to the fridge I grabbed the milk and warmed it up and then picked up Bailey who was still crying by the way. "Shhhhhh shhhh its okay Bailey" I said as I stuck the bottle in his mouth. "Today I did surgery with Uncle Mark on a man who needed a skin graph....." When I started talking Bailey looked at me with his deep blue eyes and started smiling. "You like that?" I asked him.

After he ate he feel asleep very quickly. That was just for his nap though, when I laid him in his crib he squirmed a little but didn't wake up. Then I ran outside to see Mark chasing Zola around the yard. I then thought to myself Mark would be a great father he's great with Sofia we can do this. Shaking me from my thought I heard crying, thinking it was Bailey I ran inside, but it wasn't him. So I walked outside and I saw Zola sitting there with a small splinter. When they came inside I made them dinner and the rest of the time went smoothly. Except or the nights, Bailey was up every three or four hours and after four days I was really exhausted, this will be tough.
