I wrote the chapter while listening to this music, try to listen to it while reading, this is the first time I write this kind of chapter. Enjoy the read.
(I remind you that English is not my mother tongue, let me know if you notice anything to improve)
"Let's go back to the village, we need to talk to Olo'eyktan about this." I say, waving the reins in my hands to make my Ilu react and he starts to swim.
My body itches and begs me to release it from this anger that is eating away at it.
Lo'ak lowers his head and follows the group. The silent group heading towards the village.
I grip the reins so tightly that my knuckles change color. I stare at the village in the distance, my shoulders stiff.
"Shouldn't we wait to talk about this?" A barely audible voice asks from behind me.
I turn my head towards Roxto. He looks at me with his ears turned down, I feel compassion and sorrow emanating from his gaze. Don't look at me like that. I give him a small smile, as reassuring as possible and shake my head.
"Let's talk to Olo'eyktan. Quaritch is a permanent danger that can strike at any moment. He will know how to handle the situation without alerting the population." I answer him before turning in the direction of the village.
My smile fades. I grit my teeth and dig my nails into my palm. It hurts, but it's nothing compared to what the human is about to go through.
No one speaks until we reach the village. Night has fallen, covering the sky with a dark veil. The only light that guides us is the big fire in the middle of the beach where the festival in honor of Eywa's miracle takes place. Once a few meters from the beach, in the shallow water, we get off the Ilus who cannot swim anymore because of the lack of depth. There are people on the beach, everyone is singing and dancing, it will be complicated to find Father, it's perfect.
"Let's split up. We'll have a better chance of finding him." I say as I stroke my mount's head.
The group nods without arguing except for Lo'ak who doesn't seem to listen to me, he prefers to look at his feet. Tsireya grabs his hand, bringing him out of his dreams and smiles at him.
I roll my eyes and leave towards the west of the beach and when I am far enough from the group, I rush into the village. Ready to satisfy my desire that has been echoing in my head since earlier. I unhook the knife hanging from my belt. My mind goes dark and I have only one desire, it is to make the human's blood flow. This urge echoes in my head, it screams, it burns.
I jump from net to net, not thinking about anything else. I let myself be guided by this primitive urge that controls my every move. There is no light but it is not a problem, nothing will prevent me from finding the kid.
I see the Marui of the Sullys and my blood pulses in my veins at a bewildering speed. I raise my eyes to the sky and wrinkle my nose. This anger in me cannot be appeased. I will kill him and when I do I will kill his father. Then I will kill every human on this planet, no matter how long it takes.
I put only the tip of my feet at each of my steps. I approach slowly, there is a faint light, there is surely Toruk with him. I bite my lip to hold back a grunt. I approach a little closer but stay at a reasonable distance to be able to observe the interior of the Marui. Maybe I can create a distraction to keep the Omatikaya away.
