Maddie: Hey, who needs him? We can beat Iron Man ourselves. I say we go back to the evil lair, grab some ray guns, hold 'em sideways and just go all 'gangsta' on him.
Loki: We can't.
Maddie: So that's it. You're just giving up?
Loki: I'm the bad guy. I don't save the day. I don't fly off into the sunset and I don't get the girl. I'm going home.
(Loki turns himself in to prison)
News Reporter: Unless someone comes to our aid soon, all may be lost. Thousands have already fled the city in a mass exodus. Remaining citizens are warned to stay indoors until further notice. Authorities have issued a warning to stay out of the downtown area at all costs.
(Maddie drives downtown to find Iron Man)
Maddie: Tony! Tony!
Tony: Let me guess. After seeing how awesome I am, you've finally come to your senses. Well, I'm over you.
Maddie: I've come to stop you, Tony.
Tony: (scoffing) You? Oh, wow. Okay. What are you going to do? Report me to death?
Maddie: I was going to try reasoning with you. You and I, we worked together for a long time. I know you.
Tony: You don't know me. You never took the time to know me. This is the first time we've hung out socially, and it's when I'm about to destroy the city!
Maddie: I want to talk to the real Tony. I want to talk to the guy who loved being a cameraman and eating dip and being a nerd, and being not as scary as the Iron Man Tony.
Tony: Too late! [watching TV in his prison cell, Loki sees Tony holding a camera] Loki! You and I have some unfinished business. I'll be waiting at New York Tower. Oh, and just so you don't get cold feet...
(he points the camera at Maddie, bound to the top of the tower)
Loki: Maddie...
Tony: Come on, Mads. Call for your hero to come rescue you!
Maddie: (sigh) Loki, I don't even know if you're listening. But if you are, you can't give up! The Loki I knew would never have run from a fight, even when he knew he had absolutely no chance of winning. It was your best quality. You need to be that guy right now. The city needs you. I need you.
Loki: Maddie!
Tony: You have one hour. Don't keep me waiting.
(the tv goes static)
Loki: Captain America! Captain America! Listen to me, you have to let me go. Iron Man has to be stopped!
Captain America: Sorry, Loki. You still have eighty-eight life sentences to go. Plenty of time to reflect on what you've done.
Loki: Do you want to hear me say it? I'll say it. Here it is; from the blackest part of my heart. I am sorry.
Captain America: Not buying it.
Loki: (sighs) I don't blame you. I've terrorized the city countless times. Created a hero who's turned out to be a villain. I lied to Maddie and... my best friend, Hulk, I treated like dirt. But please don't make this city, don't make Maddie pay for my wrongdoings.
[Captain America opens the cell door]
Captain America: Apology accepted.
(Captain America turns his watch and is revealed to have been Hulk in disguise.)
Loki: Oh, Hulk. You fantastic scientist, you!
Hulk: What are we waiting for? We better get going.
Loki: (Both chuckling) You got me.
Captain America: Good luck, fellas!
Loki: We're gonna die!
Hulk: Wait, what?
(Cut to Iron Man, speaking into his camera again on TV)
Tony: Hey, New York losers. This is New York Tower. They say it's supposed to be a symbol of our city's strength. But for me, it's a reminder of the day this woman ferociously ripped out my heart! And I hate reminders!
(Iron Man flies down and cuts the entire tower in half, causing it to start falling with Maddie still tied to it)
Maddie: Tony! (Iron Man lands on the top, stopping the tower from falling temporarily) Please don't do this. I know there's still good in you, Tony.
Tony: You're so naive, Mads. You see the good in everybody, even when it's not there. You're living a fantasy. There is no Easter Bunny. There is no Tooth Fairy. And there is no Queen of England. This is the real world, and you need to wake up!
(Suddenly, black smoke begins to rise up. "Welcome to the Jungle" plays. Thousands of brainbots fly up and start congregating into a massive head as Loki speaks)
Loki: You dare challenge Loki?
Tony: This town isn't big enough for two supervillains!
Loki: Oh, you're a villain all right, just not a super one!
Tony: Yeah? What's the difference?
[Loki's giant hologram head opens its mouth and from the inside appears Loki]
Loki: Presentation!
(Iron Man charges at him but Loki drops, landing on a hovercycle as Iron Man is trapped by the giant head)
[Loki frees Maddie from the tower]
Maddie: I knew you'd come back.
Loki: Well, that made one of us!
(He frees Maddie and she hops onto the bike. At the same time, Iron Man overpowers the giant head and shatters it, his eyes red. He flies down and picks up the tower, heaving it towards Loki and Maddie)
Maddie: What's the plan?
Loki: Well, it mostly involves not dying!
Maddie: I like that plan! (The tower crashes and gains on Loki, at the same time Loki loses control of the bike, not able to turn it or make it go faster) Go faster! Make this thing go faster!
Loki: I can't control it!
(He throws Maddie off the bike onto a fabric awning, before the bike crashes and he is Impaled by the tower)
Maddie: No.
(Iron Man lands on the ground behind Maddie)
Tony: Well that was easy! Looks like there's only one loose end now.
(He kicks a bus at Maddie, but before it hits, it's cut in half. Thor appears.)
