Gellert Grindelwald
Gellert Grindelwald was usually fairly busy. Being that generation's first and only Dark Lord, you might often see him raiding villages, storming the ministry and looking for any knowledge on how to get rid of the muggles.
It was taking time and it did not help that Albus too many names Dumbledore was always in the way.
He had to hide often, looking over his shoulder and being extra vigilant so not to get caught.
It was hard, he was getting old and frustrated with the ongoing battles.
He did not understand why he was losing and why no one was listening.
Either way, he had to get stronger and expand his influence. His followers were losing faith and he could not have that.
Mismatched eyes stared up at his target of a year and a half now, the Malfoys.
He was outside Malfoy manor, approaching the elegant home with purposeful steps. The Malfoys were a powerful family, both in dark magic and status and to have them follow him would make things much easier for a time.
His followers would believe in him more if Enceladus Malfoy was under his thumb.
However, upon standing at the door, he paused, his brows scrunched at a magical signature he had never felt before.
It felt powerful, it felt familiar and the longer he stood there, the more his mind became certain that he was feeling traces of an upcoming Dark Lord.
Whether the person was one or was just a very powerful dark wizard was not certain.
The doors opened and Enceladus Malfoy was seen, his expression one of slight annoyance as he smiled toward the elder wizard.
"Grindelwald. Come to try and convince us, once again?" he commented as the man crossed the threshold, glancing around briefly.
"I am..however, I wasn't aware you were housing someone new. A..child perhaps?" he said, Enceladus raising a brow. "I am. I am surprised you have not heard of him. His name is Tom Riddle. The half-blood heir of Slytherin and Lord Gaunt. He is a prodigy in Slytherin House and their King." said the Malfoy patriarch, leading the man into the sitting room.
At these words Grindelwald stiffened.
"He is this century's King?" he muttered, Enceladus nodding as they took their seats. "He is. A strong and very intelligent one as well. Abraxas adores him, so do his other friends." he said and Grindelwald seemed tense.
"May I ask, do they seem..different from your average friend?" he said, Enceladus sitting straight now.
"You're asking if Tom is their leader. Well of course, he is their King. But if you are implying that Tom Riddle could be another Dark Lord, well that isn't for me to confirm even if it were true." said the Malfoy patriarch, his tone firm and Grindelwald nodded slowly, eyes drifting toward the fireplace.
"I see. I'd like to meet him." and Enceladus gave the man a stern stare. "We would all like things. Sometimes however we do not get what we wish." he said, Grindelwald chuckling quietly.
"You dare speak to me so boldly?" smiled the white haired wizard, letting his magic reign free but Enceladus did not seem affected, his face impassive as he gave a devilish smirk.
If Tom had seen such a thing, he'd have thought he was looking at Abraxas.
"I do, Grindelwald. Because your Lord status has no affect on me. If you wish to die, be my guest." said the Malfoy patriarch, his eyes gleaming with a challenge and Grindelwald could feel the younger wizard's magic rise with anticipation.
