"Okay. $35" the taxi uncle announced. "Wah!.." Everyone surprised that the fee meter was as high as expected. Mommy paid $50 and asked him to keep the change. The uncle was so pleased to received it. If only I had money to fork out the money instead.
Everyone returned to Aunty's house and chill. I laid on the couch and took off my hijab. Thankfully, the weather wasn't scorching hot. But it was still kinda hot. My eyes were burning from the lack sleep. I couldn't sleep the entire night.
I was delighted to see my baby niece, Zya whom still hasn't shower. "Zyaaa" I called her cover and she came. "Zya! take a shower" Siti ordered. Zya shook her head and whined. "Zya..." I called her again. She turned to me. "Eee! You smelly" she didn't understand until repeated and waved my hand, scrunched my nose, gesturing her that she smelled. When she finally understood she started cry. Me and mommy laughed. She was so adorable. I knew I had to video it. I whipped out my phone and tried again.
"Zya! Zya!.." I called her. She stopped crying and turned to me. "You sme-heheh! You smelly!" I giggled in between then resumed back to crying. I cannot lahhh. She is so cute!
In the end, Siti brought her to the bathroom to give her a shower.
I sighed. Everytime I looked at Zya, I just wished she was my own daughter. I feel jealous that my own cousin has her own family. I watched tv for awhile with the family until dozed off.
When I woke up, I notice mommy wasn't around anymore. "Where's mommy?" I asked. "Oh she left already. But you can stay here" Siti replied. "Oh.." I laid back down and continued my slumber. A few hours later I woke up again. I checked my messages, just nice mommy asked Siti to wake me up. By the time Siti came out of her room, I was already awake.
Mommy sent pictures of the house in the WhatsApp family group that the house was almost complete and the floor needed as it accumateled dusk. Guess who had to clean it up?
This girl.I didn't reply and doze back again for another hour then woke up again it was coming to 6 pm. I decided it was time for me to head home. So I put on my hijab and left.
When I arrived at the house , the walls were painted just like the colour mommy wanted. The cream looked like white cause of the night light but if you look at the ceiling, you could tell two different colours. I took a quick shower first before I started vacuuming the house and mopping the floor. I didn't had mood to do it but I am glad I got it done. I even cleaned up the bathroom floor and walls. I was annoyed when Danish asked to scrub the missed out areas and I had to do it again until it was clean.
By the time I was finished, I threw myself on the couch and vape. I was so exhausted and I decided to eat my sleeping pill for a good nights rest.
It was to see the house looking fresh and brand new. It's like I stepped into a new home. I didn't feel dreaded staying here. I looked at the tv console which had a PS4 and 3 unworking old radios or disc player. "We need a new tv console" I told mommy and took a puff on my vape. "Wait lah. Save up enough money first"
