This is a chapter purely dedicated to the spreading of information about the characters and locations in the story.
The ghoul population in Japan is low compared to other countries. Roughly 500,000 ghouls spread across the country out of a population of 125 million people, unlike the UK, which has a ghoul population of about 3 million and a total population of 68 million. Comparatively, the UK has severe ghoul overcrowding.
The overcrowding is due to the UK's much lower crime rate, about 3%, while Japan has a crime rate of almost 40%. Also because it is considered taboo to attack and eat other ghouls in the UK unless attacked first, as well as the number of pacifist ghouls is very high, with very few taking up vigilantism as a way to get food as many ghouls in Japan do.
Cameron and his family actually moved to Japan because they didn't agree with the taboos of UK ghoul society, and his mother was a kakuja before the whole move. The entire ghoul part of the family had the Rinkaku Rc type, but they were a different colour to each other. His mother's were an off-white colour with red veins. His sister's were a navy blue colour with red veins. His younger brother's had a turquoise colour with red veins. And his were a midnight purple with veins of violet flowing to the tip.
Eri does not like killing. So far, she has only killed two people, Kureo Mado and a random CCG scientist during the Dragon Incident. She usually goes for nonlethal attacks but is capable of killing. She does rely on her parents for food, especially human flesh, because of her pacifism and her being a child.
Both Izumi and Ayato have a bite mark scar on their left shoulder. Ayato got his after the fight with Mado because Izumi wasn't regenerating properly and needed to eat the flesh of a ghoul to speed up the regeneration. Izumi got hers from when they did the devil's tango.
Izumi, Ayato, and Touka are all heroes in the top 10, while Kaneki is a licensed vigilante. All of them have a licence to kill because of their heritage as ghouls and the need to eat human flesh, which they usually do at night. Their codenames are Lamia for Izumi, Jackal for Ayato, Haru for Touka, and Kaneki is known as Centipede. Kaneki is the number 1 vigilante in Japan, while Izumi is the number 4 hero, and the Kirishima siblings are joint number 7. However, they all belong to the same agency called GOAT, where they all have the same authority and work alongside each other instead of Izumi being the boss.
The Abbott family, except for the youngest son, are Kakuja because of their tendencies for ghoul on ghoul cannibalism and their problems with mental disorders and mental illness. Ironically, Cameron and Lily don't like coffee despite being ghouls.
Eri was experimented on. The experiments were mainly focused on her using her kagune below the age of 7. They worked because she manifested them truly at the age of 5 after meeting the Bakugous.
Izumi is well liked as a teacher and a hero. This is because she's not too strict but not too lenient with her students. Her popularity as a hero comes from her motherly nature and willingness to sacrifice herself to protect children. She often sings the children she rescues to sleep before returning them to their parents.
Izumi, Ayato, and Eri all like music, and they enjoy listening to each other sing. Izumi has an angelic singing voice and likes to sing the boss themes from Genshin Impact as well as, for some reason, metal music. Her personal favourite song is Voracity by Myth & Roid, for some pretty obvious reasons. Ayato likes heavy metal songs and likes listening to and singing songs by Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold. His favourite song is The Sound of Silence by Disturbed. Eri just really likes listening to her parents singing and singing along with them.
Nezu is responsible for Eri's education because Izumi doesn't trust public schools. Everyone in UA adores Eri and Kiyoko, even the students who immediately change attitudes when Izumi brings either or both of her daughters into class. So school days start off with Eri being walked to Nezu's office by her supervising adult, usually Izumi or Ayato, before Izumi goes to class with Kiyoko in her arms.
Izumi actually uses the Viper Quinque (the quinque made from her father) as a support item. It attaches to a special area on the back of her coat.
Izumi feeds Kiyoko two different ways. Normally with milk but also with her blood. How she does this is she cuts the tip of her finger on her crystallised Ukaku, then puts the bleeding finger against Kiyoko's lips where Kiyoko then starts to suck on the finger like the teat to a baby bottle. This goes on until Kiyoko stops sucking or Izumi stops bleeding, then Izumi eats a small bit of flesh to allow her regeneration to catch up.
While Izumi is teaching, Ayato does hero work and acts as the spokesperson of GOAT. GOAT also has a number of ghouls that volunteer for missions, and Toga is a permanent member. And due to injuries and the damage to his body caused by his quirk, Touya is an artificial half-Ghoul like Kaneki, but he does his own thing, though he does team up with GOAT when he is called upon.
Izumi is the only person Mirko will willingly work with because both are strong, independent women who can crush a man's head between their thighs and have many things in common. They do spar sometimes, and they are quite close in power level, just Izumi edges over Mirko slightly.
Mirio is the number 1 hero a year after graduation. Tamaki and Nejire are also top 10 heroes, being number 2 and 6, respectively. This leads to a scenario where heroes 4 through 7 are female and have some of the best chemistry between each other as Izumi is able to cope with the difficult personalities of Mirko and Nejire, one loving fights and the other being too energetic for her own good, while Touka is just laid back and easy to manage.
Aogiri works alongside the hero commission and deals with any rogue ghouls around Japan. It is its own organisation that revolves around keeping a peaceful alliance between humans and ghouls stable, which would have never been possible with Endeavor and many higher ranking hero commission officials, who were all assassinated by a very sadistic female one-eyed ghoul. Yes, it was Eto who murdered the commission officials.
Izumi is also the homeroom teacher for the current 1-A students
