That Girl on the Roof and Kakuja

During lunch break on Wednesday of that week.
Izumi sensed something was wrong and went to the roof of the school.
On the roof, she saw something she could not believe. A young girl, a first year in her class, was standing close to the edge of the building, starting to take her shoes off.
"Hey, don't do it, please," Izumi screamed, running over the girl getting ready to jump.
She managed to reach the girl, just as the girl jumped, wrapping a rinkaku around the girls waist and pulled her up to the roof.
"Why did you save me, Midoriya Sensei. I'm useless," the girl said, crying.
"Don't you dare think you're useless, Furuya Tsukiko, you have a strong quirk, and you are so popular, hell aside from Cameron, you are my favourite student," Izumi said, trying to shake some sense.
"You've never had anything terrible happen to you. Have you?" Furuya said.
"Actually, I have. I don't have parents. They were killed in front of me when I was seven," Izumi said.
"Ohh, I'm sorry," Furuya apologised.
"It's okay, you're frustrated, I took no offence. So mind telling me what drove you to this," Izumi said.
"I have a terrible home life, I just can't carry on anymore. My parents are abusive and plan on using me becoming a hero to get rich," Furuya said, the most broken look coming from her purple-blue eyes as her let down silver hair blew in the wind.
"You know, before I found Eri and my life changed, I contemplated ending my life, I was 13, I had nothing to live for, I was a lonely young she-ghoul, i even took up self-cannibalism as a survival and coping mechanism" Izumi said, tears streaming from her unconsciously active Kakugan.
"Sensei, your eye changed," Furuya commented.
"If I had gone through with it, I wouldn't be here teaching an absolutely amazing hero in training who named herself Tsukuyumi, the Moon Bow, I wouldn't have an amazing 7-year-old daughter and a two month old daughter, I would never have made all of this possible." Izumi, now at this point, having a nervous breakdown, said
Furuya hugged Izumi, pulling them together.
"It's okay, Tsukiko, let everything out, every emotion," Izumi said, hugging Furuya.
Furuya then broke down crying in her teachers arms as her teacher was doing the same.
"Life is a special kind of hell for ghouls, especially those who have no guidance," Izumi said, "even humans without all their variety of powers can not get away from the basest of desires, greed. Greed can manifest in cannibalism in ghouls and abuse and manipulation elsewhere."
A highly philosophical argument from a person with a very realist view on the world.
"We should get going, I have you for your next lesson. Today, we'll be learning about kakuja, a status I am familiar with," Izumi said, lifting the girl from their shared sitting position, "this will stay between us and only us,"
--------------------------------------------------------------
Half an hour later in the class.
"What will we be learning about today, Sensei," one of the more inquisitive students asked.
"That is a good question, I'm sure our resident ghoul student knows what's up. We're going to be learning about the  Kakuja," Izumi said, purposely picking on Cameron.
"What is a kakuja, Sensei," one of the uninformed students asked.
"It is a consequence that we cannibalistic ghouls have to deal with," Cameron interjected.
"You are half correct, Kakuja are ghouls that have performed cannibalism on other ghouls, have a higher than normal Rc cell count or experience particularly strong emotion, I just so happened to get it from all three. The kagune of a kakuja ghoul forms a sort of biological armour in portions relating to the Rc type. Rinkaku tend to form smaller areas of armour or barely any at all, Ukaku tend to form larger monstrous forms, Koukaku tend to form a full suit of armour, and Bikaku are an enigma, there aren't many documented Bikaku kakuja, other than one Bikaku ghoul who's kakuja inflated to become a mass of kagune and mouths." Izumi said, explaining many of the juicy details to do with Kakuja.
"Do you know any ghouls that have gone kakuja," Tsukiko asked
"Oh, plenty, my aunt who is the One-eyed Owl, myself, My daughter Eri, my sister-in-law's boyfriend, my grandfather, Cameron Abbott, and my father-in-law who was known as Corpse Collector," Izumi listed off all the Kakuja she knew.
"Are there any downsides to going Kakuja,"
"Most definitely, when the transformation is incomplete, manifesting a kakuja, or in this case half-kakuja, will lead to the ghoul being temporarily insane, never under any circumstances approach a half-kakuja unless you are a ghoul." Izumi warned the class.
"Why do you say that," Cameron asked.
"I've had to experience a half-kakuja transformation. It was not pleasant, the screams of pain, the alterations to my kagune, and a pain like being set on fire. This was just over a year ago when 2A went to the USJ for the first time," Izumi said.
The lesson was over, but there were still fifteen minutes left before the end of the day, Izumi started to hum a song, My R by Kurage P, which caught the attention of Tsukiko.
"Miss Midoriya, you do know the meaning behind that song, right," Tsukiko asked
"Absolutely, I'd be willing to sing it if you would join me," Izumi replied
"Fine, I'll join in," Tsukiko said.
As they sang, the class began crying, their voices accentuating the words of the song like the corona of the sun in a solar eclipse. Izumi sang most of the lyrics, but Tsukiko sang the bits where the girls were explaining their tales. Even Cameron joined in to everyone's surprise, singing the verse that included not fitting in. The harsh tones of his singing manipulated the song to elevate it above the rest. It was so emotional that one student recorded it and shared the video with Nezu for use in a suicide awareness assembly.
That video went viral across the Internet titled 'UA teacher Lamia sings Kurage P's song "My R" alongside students in her class'. This got her recognition as an icon for suicide awareness, and as a true hero who does her best to save everyone, she can.
