Hopefully that means I'll be finishing this trilogy at some point, or at least this book. My toh hyperfixation returned and I was like 'why not go back to wattpad' so here I am! I've been focusing a lot more on my (non fanfic) book lately though :)

"Hey, hey, Gus!" You wave Gus over to you in the Hexside halls. He walks over to you and you drag him to a corner away from other students.
"What?"
"Can we talk for a sec?" You ask, smiling awkwardly.
"I guess."
"Have Willow and Hunter been talking?" You ask quickly, unsure of what Gus is about to think of the question.
"Why? Is he your boyfriend already?"
"What? No, ew, obviously he's not-" You stammer. "He's not my type, I don't-"
"I was kidding, N/N, chill." He laughed. "You may need to reevaluate your feelings though."
"That's not the point, I'm just- he's a really bad person and has seriously hurt some people." You sigh. "I don't want anybody basing their opinions of people based on my experiences, but he's the head of the Emperor's Coven for Titan's sake. I'm just scared to see her hurt." Gus looks at you for a moment, choosing his words for a moment.
"Y/N?" A voice from behind you makes you turn around to face it, face Willow.
"Willow, hi." You wave awkwardly.
"Y/N, I don't need your protection. I can take care of myself." There's a bit of hurt in your eyes, and you can't figure out why.
"Willow, I didn't-"
"No, it's fine. I just don't need you looking out for me, okay?"
"Right, I'm sorry." You nod, looking between Gus and Willow. "I gotta get to abominations." You rush away from the corner, leaving the two of them to discuss whatever it was you had done wrong. Maybe you were to obsessed with Hunter. To be fair, you had spent two years repressing all your feelings toward everything that happened. And to be fair, you were 14, naive and impulsive. Well, two of those things are still true.
"Y/N, Y/N!" Ophelia runs up from behind you and wraps her arms around your shoulders.
"Hey, Lia." You smile at her, but she's squinting at you suspiciously.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"You're my best friend, something's wrong." She lets go of you and walks beside you.
"Nothing's wrong."
"Is it about Hunter?"
"Can we just not talk about him anymore? Please?" You cover your face with your hands, not wanting to hear his name ever again.
"Yeah, sorry." She pauses. "I'm assuming it has to do with him, so I'll leave it be."
"Yeah. Thanks."
"Anyways, dad said he's making fairy pie for tonight." She exclaims.
"For what?"
"I dunno, for fun?" She shrugs. "I'm not complaining about pie!"
"Fair enough." You laugh.
Normal. Back to normal.
Hunter's probably never coming back to bother you, so there was no reason to lose sleep over him.
