You had spent most of the day hanging out with Gus, Willow and Hunter, but you also talked a lot about the plans for the Day of Unity. A lot of what you do know so far is that you'd be with the C.A.T.S., (Covens Against The Throne) and going along with whatever their plan was. You were now at home, and Hunter was staying with Darius, the abomination coven head.

You turn over in your bed, annoyed that sleep wasn't coming to you quickly. You sit up in the darkness, looking at P/N, who was staring up at you.

"Wanna go for a fly?" You whisper. Quietly, you climb down the bunk bed ladder, careful not to wake up Ophelia. You grab your acoustic guitar from your corner full of instruments, strapping it to your back with a spell circle. Your palisman becomes a staff and you climb out the sunroof as quietly as possible, getting onto your staff and flying off of the roof. You fly out over the woods and into a small clearing on a hill, overlooking some of Bonesburough. You sit down in the grass, staring out at the city as P/N lays down beside you. You pull out your guitar, drawing a spell circle to get it in tune. You pluck at the strings, a bit of your magic causing them to glow as you start to play a song.

"It seems the only one who doesn't see your beauty, is the face in the mirror staring back at you."  You sing, your palisman yawning and getting comfortable in the grass while you sit there and sing. Some of the things around you started to glow slightly.

"Cause I know you.. hold on baby you're losing it, the waters high you're jumping into it and letting go.. and no one knows. That you cry but you don't tell anyone, that you might not be the golden one. And you're tied together with a smile but you're coming undone." You open your eyes, looking down at your guitar. "Oh, oh oh."  You close your eyes as you continue singing, feeling the magic lift your hair upwards. 

"And you're tied together with a smile, but you're coming undo-" You hear a stick snap behind you, and your eyes snap open and you stop playing. You turn around to see Hunter standing a little farther up the hill, wincing at the noise. 

"Flapjack!" He whisper-shouts at the bird that pulled his hair noodle. 

"Hunter?"

"You sound really good.." He mutters.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was walking out here and I could see practically the entire hill glowing, I figured it was you." He shrugged.

"In all of Bonesburough you figured it was me?"

"You're one of the best bards I know." He says as you put your guitar back in the case. "Wait- you don't have to stop."

"I'm done." You shrug. "It's fine." You zip up the case, and P/N crawls into your lap. "What were you doing out here anyways?"

"I couldn't sleep."

"Me neither." You sigh.

"So.. are you.. scared?"

"What? I dunno.. are you?"

"I don't get scared." He responds, suddenly seeming less vulnerable.

"Hunter.."

"Yeah, I'm.. scared." He admits. "But are you?"

"A little.."

"Y/N.."

"Yeah." You nod, petting P/N. "I'm scared." You both sit in silence for a second, and Hunter walks over to you and sits next to you.

"Darius said it would all be okay, but.."

"But?" You look at him, the moonlight reflected in his eyes.

"But I'm not sure.. Belos has been planning this for a long time." He looks at you. "Longer than we've been alive."

"Yeah, but we're tough, and we've got a great team on our side.." You fidget with your hands. "We just have to try." 

"Yeah."

You lay down in the grass, making P/N have to adjust to get comfortable again. They lay down next to your head, Flapjack laying beside them. Hunter does the same, and you both stare up at the sky.

"It's crazy how big the world is." You mutter under your breath.

"Hm?"

"All those stars out there, not even a little close to us." You explain. "And then there's whole other realms, and we're just.. here." 

"Yeah, I mean.. we don't even matter compared to all that." He mutters.

"Well, sure. But you know.. we can still matter to each other." You meant it as a generalization, but as it came out you realized how it sounded. "I- I mean-"

"Yeah." 

You look over at Hunter, but he had already been looking at you. He looks away quickly, and you smile.

It didn't take long before you fell asleep.
