You finally get to the head, rushing to where you could hear Luz fighting Belos.
Just as Belos- who had become some kind of goop monster?- was about to attack Luz, Willow restrained him and knocked him down with vines.
"We're here to help." She says.
"Did you really think we wouldn't follow you?" Amity asked. You could see Hunter staring up at the monster his uncle had become.
"Yeah, girl. Get with it." Gus smiled.
"And quit trying to sacrifice yourself, love." You sigh.
"You guys are literally the coolest!" Luz exclaimed. "I'm trying to get him to stop the draining spell, but he's all berserk mad!" She added as Belos tried fighting against the vines.
You all tried to fight him, doing anything you could. But he was strong. Unfortunately for him, the Hexsquad didn't know when to give up.
"Hunter, why are you hurting me?" Belos' head became normal- which was incredibly disturbing- as he loomed over Hunter. "I only wanted to help you."
"You're-" Hunter stuttered. "You're lying!" You noticed the lines from the draining spell spreading up his skin. Belos seemed to notice Flapjack, and seemed shocked.
"Caleb?" He shouted, turning back into goop and stretching up, making some kind of horrible screeching sound. You instinctively grabbed onto Hunter, pulling him towards you. You all tried to fight off Belos longer, but he backed all of you into a corner. He shot his weird goop blade hand toward Luz and Amity, and you gasped. Shit. That was i-
Someone's hand stopped him. You stared at the yellow and blue kid, who smiled at the group like it was a normal day.
"Whatcha playin?" He asked.
"Nothing, right no-" You started, but Hunter weakly elbowed you in the side and you shut up. Shit, Hunter was really weak from the draining spell right now.
"Collector?" Belos said, backing up.
Collector?
"You're free, just as promised!" He said.
"As promised?" The kid started. "I remember someone throwing me off a bridge." Damn. "I'm not angry though! Say, you wanna play tag?" He pulled Belos close to him. "I'm it." He tapped Belos, and he went flying into the back wall, exploding in goop.
"Ew.." You whispered, and glanced down at Hunter who looked completely traumatized. You stared at the little kid, horrified. Shit, were you gonna be next? The kid was giggling. What the hell?
"Too slow!" He giggled, and turned toward you six. Shit. "You guys look slow too." Ouch. "Do you need a head start?"
"Woah, woah. Collector, buddy, pal!" King shouted, running in between you and the Collector kid.
"King!" He exclaimed.
"Remember what we talked about?" He said. "You gotta help all my friends outside, or uh.. we won't get to play Owl House."
"Uhh.. Owl House?" Luz says, smiling. "Oh, gosh. I love that game!"
"The memories last a lifetime!" Amity pitched in.
"I play it every day!" Willow laughed awkwardly.
"I play it every hour!" Gus exclaimed.
"I play it every minute." You added.
"Ehhh.." Hunter squeaked, smiling. You held onto him tighter.
"I'll explain the rules later, but remember, we need lots of players." King said. The Collector walked toward the window, and all six of you moved out of the way quickly.
"Hmm.." He said, dangling over the edge. "Okay! Boop." He pointed up toward the eclipse and moved the fucking moon. The draining spell suddenly stopped, and Hunter stood up straight, you and Willow both letting go of him. "Hmm.. if we're gonna play Owl House, we're gonna need an Owl House!" The Collector exclaimed, jumping up in the air and breaking apart the entire wall. "We're gonna have a blast, everyone!"
"I think there's a way out!" Willow shouted, and you all followed her to the portal door. Hunter opened it, and it was pouring rain inside the door. You all hesitated.
"It's human rain, it's okay!" Gus yelled, and you, him, Hunter and Willow all ran through the portal. You watched, terrified as Luz let go of King and you were all blasted through the door.
"No, King!" She shouted, sprinting toward the door as it slammed shut. She opened it, and it only led to the small human shack. She stared back at you five as you processed what happened. Gus leaned forward, sobbing, and you felt tears sliding down your cheeks, mixing with the rain water. You wiped your cheek, sniffling once as you stared down at the cold, muddy ground. Cold rain.. weird.
"Um.." Luz's voice broke, and she stumbled down the stairs. "My house.. we.." She broke down crying. "C'mon.."
She led you all away from the door, and you helped Gus up, looking at him. He was the youngest, you felt the need to keep him safe before yourself. Hunter put an arm around Gus as you all followed Luz to the house next door.
Her house?
She knocked on the door as you all stood outside, getting more and more drenched by the rain. You were surprised only three of you had cried so far. A lady that looked similar to Luz opened the door and gasped.
"Hey mom.. I'm back."
