chapter 7: unBEARable situation

Tent
6:00 am

Jeremy wakes and feels a tight grip around his waist again, but instead of freaking out like last time, Jeremy carefully and quickly unhinges Ash from himself and makes it out of the tent without waking Ash. When Jeremy gets out and stretches his body a bit. Mid-stretch he is interrupted by the Captain calling him over to talk. Fearing the worst Jeremy prepares himself to be yelled at for something like yesterday.

Jeremy walks over and the Captain grabbed his hand and dragged him to somewhere more secluded by the water. Both Jeremy and the Captain sit down at the edge of the cold snowy ground with their legs dangling over the ocean blue water.

Jeremy: So what do you want to tell me?

Captain: *sigh* I want to apologize to you for yesterday. I had gotten a little to much with you and Ash, especially since this is the first mission both of you have had. I should had done something to make sure there was no kidnapping to begin with. I also noticed What you brought back from the fight with Frye and I want to thank you for bringing that heavy thing all the back to base.

Jeremy: It's fine, and don't blame yourself for that, you couldn't have done anything in that moment. Everything was going so quickly that you would had to have god like quick thinking and movement to try to stop it from happening. Just learn from it.

Captain: Thanks, I just worry that I won't be a good enough Captain for the team now that gramps is out of the picture. What isn't helping is that I see a lot of me in both of you, and that outfit isn't helping.

The Captain points toward the old uniform Jeremy has on causing Jeremy some confusion.

Jeremy: What so special about this outfit.

Captain: That was mine back when I was the original agent 3.

Jeremy: Ash wasn't the first agent 3?!

Captain: Yep, she's got big shoes to fill and I wanna make sure she fills them.

Jeremy: I think she already has.

The Captain looks at Jeremy with a shocked face that turns to a small smile towards the comment.

Captain: Great to hear, by the way you should probably actually know my name, it's Lucy.

Jeremy: Got it Lucy, now I should probably go wake Ash up to do missions.

Lucy: Before you do, promise me you'll look after Ash for me ok?

Jeremy: Of course.

Jeremy walks off and goes to the tent where Ash is sleeping and wakes her up. Jeremy shakes her awake, and after a bit of groggy confusion Ash gets ready for their mission. Ash grabs little buddy and heads out with Jeremy to the next area. When Jeremy and Ash get there they see the ground is covered with slippery clean light blue ice on the ground.

Jeremy: Make sure you watch your step around here.

Ash: Please I'll be fine, it just a little ic-AHH! *slips*
