Part 5 - Finished

[Boruto P.O.V]

Dad smiled down at me, while rubbing my head, and I smiled.

This is the first time in a long while that I'm actually happy to have him around.

But my smile faded when I started thinking back...

Remembering bits and pieces of my fight with Urashiki. There was also a moment there after I blacked out when I become a little aware, but wasn't fully awake. I could feel my dad, Sakura, Shikamaru and Sasuke's presence, as well as Urashiki.

At first, I wasn't entirely sure what was happening. I couldn't open my eyes or move at all, thanks to my chakra being drained. I could, however, tell I was lying on my back, and that everything hurt – especially my neck and right side. Trying to move on my own was pointless, but I flinched when fingers touch my face.

I remember the cold sensations, making me shiver.

It was Urashiki.

But something also felt really off. I could hear yelling, my wasn't able to make out words, then I was grabbed by someone, but I had recognised Auntie Sakura, with her gentle touch and caring words. As the minutes passed, I could start to hear the voices more clearly, but still struggled to open my eyes.

So... I mustered up all my strength, and was just barely able to move and open my eyes. I grabbed Auntie Sakura's arm, and she looked at me rather surprised.

"A-Auntie Sakura?"

I said, my voice strained.

"Glad to see you're awake, Boruto."

She responds, and I'm so relieved.

I smiled, but then cringed when a dull pain came from my right side. I did tighten my grip on her arm subconsciously, but released the tension when the pain subsided.

But then I heard a snap, and without warning, a sharp pain shot down my neck, causing me to jolt and gasp for air. My hand flings up to the side of my neck, and I kinda chocked myself in the process.
