Part 15 - Twist

I should have titled this chapter 'Twist in the game'  because... well, no reason in particular. Cough* cough* Anyways, this has to one of my favourite parts so far. I very recently had the sudden urge to start writing again, so have fun reading, Legends!

[Boruto P.O.V]

Not gonna lie, I've been having this really strange feeling lately.

Like something is gonna happen.

Even though we've been preparing for the worst to come. I can't help but think, there is something else at play, working in the shadows.

My mind has been wondering most of the night, especially after dinner and everyone went to bed. The clock has just past midnight and it's well passed the point when I know I can't sleep. I groan, rolling over to my right side and close my eyes.

But then I felt a sting from my hand.

Jolting up, I look down at my palm to see... nothing?

Just the Karma imprinted on my skin.

It only stung for a second, but even that was rather weird. The Karma hasn't even activated since Takashiri came, and now that I think about it, Momoshiki hasn't shown himself since I started training with my Jougan either.

I'm kinda relieved though, because I really didn't want to deal with him or the Karma.

I adjust my seat, staring down at my hand - my eyes boring into the black diamond.

But nothing.

Why did it suddenly hurt? Even if it was just for a second?

Then a shadow comes up to my window, and I see Takashiri. He looked worried, so I opened the window to let him in.

I open the window, letting him inside.

"Boruto?" He sat beside me on the bed, "Something bothering you?" 

I took a deep breath, running a hand through my hair, "I don't know. I can't sleep and... Something weird happen. My hand...  hurt for a second before and-"
