Part 16 - Double Trouble

Largaya had caught up to us.

Big Brother was backing up, but I had to push back when we got too close to the edge of what was the hallway, before it was blow out. There was at least, a 100-foot drop behind us and I lost my balance when I flicked my eyes back, only to be yanked by Big Bro when he saw me almost fall backwards.

We took a few steps forward, collecting ourselves and exchanging worried looks.

We didn't know what had happened, or if my dad, Sasuke Sensei or Takashiri were, okay? There was no indication they got away with Largaya standing right in front of us, barely a scratch on him.

A laugh snapped us back – our heads turning to lock eyes with the Otsutsuki, who was levitating centimetres off the ground. He had a devilish grin, and I quivered slightly.

I let go of Big Bro, my heart thundering in my chest.

I prayed Largaya couldn't hear it.

I was scared.

I mean, he managed to take down two of the world's most powerful people, and Takashiri, all by himself? I may have been training my ass off for the last several months, but I wasn't ready to face someone as strong as Largaya.

I almost forgot I can use it now. Largaya probably doesn't even know I've been training with it since our last encounter either, which gives me an idea.

It's crazy, but it just might work.

My thoughts came to a halt when Big Brother suddenly grabbed my arm, forcing back again. I flicked my eyes up to see Largaya had started stalking toward us, his grin unwavering, and I felt my body tense up.

He's getting dangerously close, and Big Bro refused to move, shielding me from the Otsutsuki.

Largaya laughed.

We probably looked pretty pathetic, but I couldn't care less. I just prayed my plan would work, and that Big Bro Konohamaru would go along with it.
