You've been working as a apprentice in the lab hoping to gain some knowledge from the one and only  sage. She's been guiding you through the basics of how to heal properly and to fight as well, but lately you haven't been listening. Your eyes always seem to wander when she's alone with you. "Do you see how the arm is bent that way? Y/n?" Sage waved her hand in front of your face. "Hmm, oh arm, bent, yeah." I tried to act as interested as possible. The only thing I'm really interested in is sage. How can she be so good and hurting and helping people? It's actually kinda hot when I think about it. Wait I'm not supposed to be think about anything other than the lesson. I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't see sage walking over to me. "Are you ok?" She asked looking worried. I snapped out of my mind to see her a few inches from my face. "Uhhh, wait sorry could you repeat that one more time?" I gave a nervous laugh. She sighed then grabbed my wrist and checked my pulse. "Your pulse is fine. You look fine. Is there something I'm missing?" She walked around me, looking at me like I was a piece of art. "It's nothing, just a few things stuck on my mind." I rubbed my eyes.  She stopped in front of me again. "Tell me." I was shocked. "Huh no continue on, I'm focused now." "We've been at this for awhile it doesn't hurt to take a break." She pulled a chair up and rested her chin on her hands. I realized we weren't going to do anything until I said something so I made up some bullshit. "My..... girlfriend/boyfriend is sick and I'm really worried. " I gave her my best sad smile. She raised an eyebrow. "I thought you were single?"  I quickly responded. "I was but then they came into my life and boom. I was in love with them, ya know?" She only looked at me even more confused. "What's their name?" She asked calmly. "Why?" I said a bit too quick. "If you don't want to talk about it it's fine. I was just curious." She shrugged. "How bout we come back to this tomorrow when we both are feeling better?"  I looked up at her. "You don't feel good?" She shook her head. " it's just my stomach, I'll be fine."  I gave her a look and she gave me one too. "I'm ok, really." I felt like her smile was forced. But I couldn't say anything as she walked out too quickly.

Time skip to a few days later

"Y/n... let me in." Sage asked through the door to my room. "No I don't feel good." I faked a cough to add some emphasis. "You didn't forget that I'm a healer right?" She said annoyed. "This is internal and I wouldn't  want you to waste energy on me." I said trying to cough again. "I wouldn't be wasting energy if I was helping you." "I'll be fine by tomorrow." I reassured her. "If you aren't out by tomorrow morning I'm kicking the door down." Sage muttered. She started walking away and I waited until I couldn't hear footsteps anymore. I opened to door just a bit, nobody. I'm reallly fucking hungry. Maybe I can sneak out real quick. I crept down the hall into the pantry. Funyunos or skitties? Hmm. Click. I turned around to see sage glaring at me arms folded.ready to chew me out for lying to her. "Why did you lie?" She asked. I thought for a minute but realized lying to her even more was going to make her more mad. "I was trying to avoid you." I admitted. She shook her head. "I knew that, I meant why'd you say you had a girlfriend/boyfriend?" I raised my eyebrows surprised at the question. "Because..." she moved in closer. I was  trapped and about to squash the doritas. "Umm..." I tried to look for a way to escape but all I saw was her staring at me like a predator and it's prey. "Don't run away." She bored into my eyes. "I'm sorry ok! I made up that bullshit to try and hide the fact that I liked you. I don't have any lover and would appreciate it if forgot that I said any of this." I peeked at her hoping she wouldn't laugh or be making fun of me but she just stared. "I won't forget." Was all she said. "Wh-" her lips crashed onto mine and she slowly pushed me further down  until she was sitting on top of me. Her hands felt so warm wrapped around my neck as she stroked my hair. I grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. "Isn't this better than shutting yourself in your room for a week." She smirked. "Yeah..." I said breathlessly. "Was it cypher?" I asked. "Yeah." She smiled then leaned into my neck. "I love you." "I love you too."
